Imagine if thirteen Marvel characters were to be in a huge battle where there could only be ONE victor. Put the good and evil notion to the side. It's EVERYONE vs. EVERYONE! No alliances! Only ONE can be left standing! Please choose who you think would win among the thirteen Marvel characters in the poll.
Also, if you have time, please leave the reason why you think the character you chose would win in the "comment" section below. This way, we can all see your reasoning in choosing your winner. Who will be the victor? Only YOU can decide!
The thirteen characters that are involved in the battle are the last thirteen characters that have been highlighted on the Marvel Madness blog:
Howard Stark, Jigsaw, Bolivar Trask, Karen Page, Morbius, Dracula, Caretaker, Glenn Talbot, Uncle Ben, Russian, Nova, Dr. Stromm, and Hannibal King. (If you have forgotten some of these characters' powers/abilities, go ahead and check out their bios right here on the Marvel Madness blog by clicking on the highlighted names above.)
Well, let's just get the normal humans out of the way: Howard Stark, Bolivar Trask, Karen Page, Glenn Talbot, and Uncle Ben. That leaves the top 8: Jigsaw, Morbius, Dracula, Caretaker, Russian,Nova, Dr. Stromm, and Hannibal King.
ReplyDeleteNow Jigsaw is a great street-fighter and can go head-to-head with super-humans. Plus if he had his armor, he would be even more of a threat. The three with vampire powers can do some serious damage (unless the battle was held in sunlight; however, let's say it's not). The Caretaker has been known to pull out reserved strength to take on Ghost Rider and Vengeance simultaneously. The Russian is basically indestructible. Nova can fly, and Dr. Stromm is a cyborg! And many characters can take flight! Talk about a crazy tough battle! Well, this is one possible way that this battle would go down:
Dr. Stromm would eventually be taken over by the indestructibility of so many characters (even with his weapons that are in his armor). Jigsaw could hold his own for sometime, but would eventually be run-over by the power of the others. Nova is strong and could fly and burn the others; however, she wouldn't be able to take out many characters before she would taken out herself. Caretaker could break his shovel and use it as a wooden stake to kill one of the vampires, but they would come back to life if he pulled it out. He could fight off two or three characters on his own, but with too much chaos, he would eventually be overcome. The Russian has huge endurance and can last through explosions; however, up against vampire-powers, he would eventually be taken out by sharp claws, a sword, blood-sucking fangs, etc. This would leave the ones with vampire powers left: Morbius, Dracula, and Hannibal King.
Like I said, if the battle was in the sunlight, obviously Morbius would be the winner due to Hannibal King and Dracula being real vampires and being vulnerable to sunlight. However, if there was sun, the vampires wouldn't do the battle anyway. Therefore, due to the powers of Dracula and Hannibal King, Morbius doesn't stand a chance. This gives us the final two: Draucla and Hannibal King.
If Hannibal King had his vampire-fighting weapons with him, he would definitely win. Or, if either one picked up the Caretaker's shovel and used it for a wooden stake, they would probably be the winner. If Dracula had his sword, he could win by beheading Hannibal King. However, this battle is about powers and abilities vs. powers and abilities. I original thought Hannibal King would win, especially since he can't be controlled by Dracula. However, I think the fact that Dracula is stronger than most vampires, Hannibal King would eventually be overpowered by Dracula's strength.
The victor for Battle Royal 9...Dracula!
Dracula... He's the strongest of the bunch... Plus he is super buff in the picture on his bio page... I didn't factor in the whole sun thing though... If the battle went long enough, I guess it would have to go to morbius or caretaker since the sun would eventually rise.

ReplyDeleteI would have to go with Nova. I find it interesting that Silver Surfer made it so far in the last battles, even to rival Galactus, and Nova was created to fill Silver Surfer's roll. This would definitely come down to her and the vampires. If you look at the fact that she can move at the speed of light and can use cosmic energy, the same stuff Silver Surfer uses, regeneration doesn't mean much when you get atomized. But just because she is a girl she is being overlooked I think.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the comics she did eventually get beaten, buy a guy that took Silver Surfer and the other heralds to beat - she was the unlucky one apparently.
Don't underestimate those chosen by the all mighty Galactus.
What, do you guys expect this battle to last half an hour? Of COURSE it would last through the night. There are too many strong contenders, and the sun would definitely come up. Naturally.
ReplyDeleteSo the humans are out. The vampires are out. I agree with Kirk- Nova is stronger than you give her credit for. AND I think Kirk is also right that you are overlooking her because she is a girl. Shame on you. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI originally thought Dracula would win with his near invulnerability and mind control coupled with his battle tactics background. I believe he would win with one possible exception. Caretaker has the ability to extinguish the powers of others returning them to "human form." I think this will remove the powers of the vampires and Nova. Thus taking the top contenders to the bottom with the unpowered humans. The Russian is surgically altered, Stromm is a cyborg and would both be unaffected. Caretaker's abilities, and possibly powers, and limits are still a mystery. I think he has more to offer and may actually be the last one standing, daylight or not. My vote to the under dog.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a good point, Steve. However, I do believe that the Caretaker can only extinguish the powers of the Medallion users...not just anyone. However, I could be mistaken. But, your comment has made me think more about my vote and I might change it. I'll have to think about it over the next couple days. :-)
ReplyDeleteI thought He Used the medallion to revert people. It may not work then. Good point Cory
