Powers
Angar the Screamer vocally emits piercing screams that create hallucinogenic effects in those who hear them, and sometimes amnesia. These hallucinations, take the form of subconscious fantasies and Angar can only control the content of the hallucinations in specific, varied situations. The closer one is to him when he screams, the longer one will hallucinate. He can cause permanent hearing damage to those standing too close to him. Also, Angar is immune to his own powers. His vocal cords have more stamina than a normal human's. In fact, Angar can scream at maximum power for over an hour, pausing only for breath.

Once he became the entity known as "Scream" (made out of "solid sound"), he could exist without eating, sleeping, or breathing. In this state, he was immune to physical harm and could even reintegrate himself when dispersed. As Scream, he could fly and manipulate sound around him. He could disorient opponents or use sound as a concussive weapon. Despite his ability to manipulate sound, Scream could not talk and seemed to be a mindless creature for most of his existence.

Other Info
David Angar was a hippie and a radical social activist who volunteered to undergo an experiment to give him super powers. He was subjected to technology brought to Earth from the moon Titan by the priestess Moondragon. Using that technology, Kerwin J. Broderick gave Angar unusual vocal powers that caused people to have hallucinations. Moondragon had intended to use Angar as an ally to go up against the mad Titan Thanos; however, Broderick employed Angar as an assassin for his own criminal enterprises instead. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the place and/or characters.)

Angar's first assignment was to destroy Daredevil. When he challenged the hero to a fight, Angar easily defeated Daredevil and the hero fled. He then used his powers to turn the Black Widow against Daredevil. However, eventually the two fought off the hallucinations and fought back against Angar. Overwhelmed, Angar fled from the two. (To learn about the heroes above, just click on their names. Note: Beware of the very form-fitting and revealing outfits worn by Black Widow on her bio page.)

Later, Moondragon mistakenly thought San Francisco was under the influence of Thanos and assisted Broderick by summoning her creations: Dark Messiah, Ramrod, and Angar the Screamer. They used them to try to take control of San Francisco. However, as Angar was out driving with his girlfriend Janice, the two got too close to Terrex (a creation of the Broderick and Moondragon) who sucked the life force out of Janice. When Angar realized that it was Terrex who killed his girlfriend Janice, he became furious. With his mind set on revenge, Angar joined with Daredevil and Captain Marvel against Terrex. While they all kept Terrex occupied, Moondragon used her mental powers to boost Angar's powers beyond their normal range. With the combined forces of Angar the Screamer, Moondragon, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, and Black Widow, Terrex was destroyed. (To learn about the above highlighted characters, just click on their names.)

Since then, Angar has used his powers for personal gain. His schemes eventually brought him in conflict with Iron Fist. Both Iron Fist and Colleen Wing were kidnapped by followers of Master Khan who was working with Angar the Screamer. However, Iron Fist and Colleen fought off Angar's brainwashed soldiers. And it was Colleen who dealt a crippling blow with her samurai sword to Angar's stomach. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the characters.)

Later on, Angar the Screamer came into conflict with Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew). Spider-Woman fell to the hallucinogenic effects of Angar's screams during a confrontation with the police. After the effects wore off, and Angar fled, Spider-Woman began tracking him down. She eventually found Angar at Star Land (an amusement park that was also a secret hideout for mob figures). Angar attacked Spider-Woman again with a full-powered scream. This resulted in Spider-Woman being haunted with hallucinations of every enemy she has battled. However, she managed to fight off the illusions. Angar was about to try to scream again, but Spider-Woman exploded a bag of cement in his face, causing the powder to make him cough and unable to scream. The furious Spider-Woman then beat Angar into submission. (To learn about Spider-Woman, click on her highlighted name above. Note: Beware of the form-fitting outfit on Spider-Woman's bio page.)

At one point, Angar found himself being one of the many criminals imprisoned in the Vault. He was also one of many that escaped during a mass breakout. (To learn about the Vault, click on the highlighted name above.)

Later on, Angar began a criminal duo with Screaming Mimi. They robbed banks disguised as the married Hawkeye and Mockingbird. However, eventually, the original heroes put a stop to them. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the character. (Note: beware of the low-cut outfit worn on Mockingbird's bio page.)

At one point, Angar joined the team called Assault and Battery along with Mad-Dog, Smokescreen, and Overrider. The team battled Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.; however, their team was defeated.  (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the characters and/or team.)

Later, Angar joined another team led by Doctor Bong known as the Headmen. The team consisted of other villains such as Shrunken Bones, Gorilla-Man, Ruby Thursday, and Chondu the Mystic. This team planned on conquering the Multiverse by creating the “Cosmic Bong” turning Doctor Bong into a god. However, the team was taken down by Spider-Man. (Click on the characters and/or team name above to learn more about the. Note: Beware of the very revealing outfits worn by Ruby Thursday on the Headmen's, and her own, bio pages.  Also, Angar the Screamer during this time is shown in the fourth picture posted above.)

Some time later, while robbing a bank with Screaming Mimi again, Angar the Screamer was shot. Although the two were able to escape into the nearby woods, Angar died soon after by blood loss. Screaming Mimi's wails of grief lasted for hours, which leveled much of the surrounding forest, and destroyed her larynx. However, she was tracked down and rescued by Baron Zemo before the police could get to her. Zemo had Fixer augment her now-damaged vocal cords and gave her new powers based on Klaw's Sonic Horn, and Mimi agreed to join his team as "Songbird." In addition, Zemo had taken Angar's body and had Fixer use it to create the sonic entity known as "Scream." Scream showed no emotions or intelligence and only obeyed orders, and joined a team of reforming reforming super-villains called the Redeemers. As part of this team, Scream battled against a variety of villains such as the DestructonDoctor Doom, and Humus Sapien. (To learn about the above highlighted characters and/or teams, just click on their names. Also, Angar in his "Scream" entity is shown in the fifth picture posted above.)

More recently, the Redeemers were attacked by Graviton. During the attack, Graviton wrapped Scream in a vacuum and dissipated him, then proceeded to take out the rest of the team. However, through a mixture of surprise tactics and negotiation, the team was able to defeat Graviton. Upon his defeat, Scream reappeared, back in the form of Angar. Angar then began to absorb all the sound around him and went on a rampage until he had Songbird disperse him for good. (To learn about Graviton, click on the highlighted name above. Also, Angar in this new form is shown in the last picture posted above.)

At one point, Kang the Conquereor traveled to past to the 20th Century and planted new technology there. Some of his technology ended up being discovered and developed by Cybertek (a cybernetics research firm created by its parent corporation Roxxon Oil as a research facility). Cybertek used this technology in many of their projects. (To learn about the character and/or company highlighted above, just click on their names.)

Later on, Roxxon Oil stole the Earth-7484 Deathlok cyborg from S.H.I.E.L.D. and turned it over to Harlan Ryker for further study. Ryker studied Deathlok at Roxxon’s Brand Corporation subdivision, who designed a robotic Deathlok which was destroyed by the Thing and Quasar while invading Project: PEGASUS. Ryker was ordered to disassemble Deathlok and recreate it.(To learn about the dimension, characters, and/or project, just click on their highlighted names above.)

Later, when the Brand Corporation was closed, Ryker was placed in charge of Cybertek and their cyborg research was moved there. The original Deathlok was r
e-programmed as an agent of the Nth Command--whose purpose was to gain a world energy monopoly by eradicating any effective private or governmental competition." (To learn about Nth Command, click on the highlighted name above.)

Cybertek also developed the Warwolf--a cyborg using a wolf's brain.

Trying to create a super-solider program, Cybertek tried to recruit Deathlok (Luther Manning) for Cybertek's cyborg super-soldier program, but was unsuccessful. However, Ryker was able to recruit police officer John Kelly. Kelly voluntarily had his brain implanted in the Deathlok cyborg, and participated in a number of test runs. (To learn about Siege, click on the highlighted name above.)

One day, Cybertek computer programmer Michael Collins discovered that his work was actually going to be used for a killing machine project codenamed "Deathlok." Being the one behind the program, Ryker actually betrayed Collins and shot him with a sedative. He then transplanted Collins' brain into the Deathlok cyborg. Later on, while on a Roxxon mission to the South American nation of Estrella, Collins' mind awoke and gained some control of Deathlok, who was quickly recalled to Cybertek. Once at Cybertek, Collins achieved full control and escaped. Ryker then sent Ian Wajler after Deathlok; however, Deathlok defeated him. Soon after, Deathlok returned to New Jersey and assaulted Cybertek, confronting Ryker. (To learn about Deathlok and/or Mainframe, just click on their names.)

Later on, under investigation from S.H.I.E.L.D., Harlan Ryker betrayed Cybertek and fled, attempting to sell Cybertek's property. However, to limit their own culpability, Roxxon Oil ordered Cybertek to be shut-down. Soon, Warwolf invaded Cybertek and destroyed all the records that could incriminate Ryker. Warwolf also killed and attacked others until Deathlok arrived killed it.

Afterward, Cybertek's technology and contracts were sold to various ccorporations, including Magnum Munitions and A.I.M. (To learn about A.I.M., just click on the highlighted name above.)

Karla Faye Gideon lived with her abusive husband, Howard, and the two had a son named Bradley together. One day, when Bradley was a teenager, Karla's husband found their son looking at inappropriate magazines. This resulted in her husband beating their son to death. Not realizing the truth of what had happened, Karla soon found out that the blame of her son's murder fell on three local teenagers named Joel, Saul, and Adrienne.

Soon after, it was Matthew Murdock who visited the home of the Gideons and talked to Karla about what had happened to Bradley; however, she refused to talk to him. (To learn about Daredevil, click on the highlighted name above.)

One morning, soon after, Howard woke up having seen a "devil" in his tree. Afterward, Karla and Howard gathered a group of people, including police, to the temporary office of the attorneys Constance, Murdock, and others. Karla was there when Howard verbally assaulted Murdock, claiming he'd brought Daredevil with him to town; however, but Murdock refused to give in and departed peacefully. On Sunday, Murdock, Constance, and the Gideons were all at church, where the pastor lectured on the evil of the devil. The pastor then called for the town to collect every evil thing from their homes and burn them in a large bonfire later. Again, Howard shouted out at Murdock that Daredevil didn't scare him at all, but Murdock responded stating that they wanted teeth casts from Howard. Later that night, Howard yanked out most of his teeth himself. Immediately afterward, Howard called the police, claiming that Daredevil had done that to him and his teeth. Karla believed her husband that Daredevil had done that to him.

For the month long trial, Karla was present at the Kramer County Courthouse, while the attorneys Constance, Murdock, and others questioned witnesses including Sheriff Stonehouse and Howard Gideon. Unfortunately, in the end, the verdict was reached and Joel, Saul, and Adrienne were found guilty--Saul and Adrienne were given life in prison and Joel was given the death penalty due to aggravating circumstances.

It was seven years later, the night before Joel was scheduled to be executed, that Karla Faye Gideon was packing when she heard Howard downstairs. When she looked in her husband's cupboard, she found inappropriate magazines and Bradley's missing shoe. Karla suddenly realized that her abusive husband was actually the one that killed their son; therefore, she called Matthew Murdock for help. However, Howard hung up the phone and told her that he never meant to hurt their son. After Joel's execution, Daredevil rushed to the Gideon home and found Karla sedated and Howard gone. When Karla woke, she told Murdock what she had discovered. Later, Howard returned home with a plan to kill Karla, but he found Daredevil there instead. The hero pinned Howard down just as Sheriff Stonehouse came in to arrest Howard. Stonehouse let Daredevil go free, saying that he never saw him there. And Karla finally agreed to testify against her husband. Soon after, when Howard Gideon was convicted for the murder of Karla's son, Adrienne and Saul were released from prison.

More recently, Karla Faye Gideon's current whereabouts are unknown.

Avengers VS Guardians

By now, hopefully most of you have seen both Marvel's The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy! So, my questions is...who would win? The Avengers v.s. The Guardians of the Galaxy!

Clarification: To make the teams even, we have to have 5 v 5! Therefore, I'm going with the Avengers that we see the most vs the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it is based off the movies!

Avengers:                 Guardians:
1. Iron Man               1. Star-Lord
2. Thor                      2. Groot
3. Captain America   3. Gamora
4. Hulk                      4. Drax
5. Black Widow         5. Rocket Raccoon

Hawkeye joined during the Avengers movie, and Nick Fury is not ONE of the Avengers, in my opinion (he calls on them, and assembles them, but is not part of the Avengers team). However, if you want to switch up your team around, be my guest. However, think of the battle being 5 members vs 5 members.

Based off the movies, which team would win? Avengers? Or Guardians?

Please leave a comment below to let us know why you chose your winning team! Let the games begin!
