This one seems pretty easy to me. Proteus would just take possession of everyone and change reality to that no one had any powers. This would effectively consume most of their bodies anyway, after that he could easily defeat the remaining muggles.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, let's first eliminate the ones that I don't think would last very long. Skin could take hits, but that's it--he's gone. Kane's metal arms/body would help get rid of Proteus (even though I'm sure Proteus could take out others before that happened). Lila Cheney can teleport, but the moment she is actually hit, she's a goner. Even if Dazzler had a way to amplify light, it still wouldn't help much once she got hit. Skids and Cecilia Reyes both have protective fields. I was debating how long they would last, but I figured if they have been hurt before, it would happen again. And without the fields, they would struggle (even though Cecilia Reyes can use her shield offensively. I don't think she would last long with the pain of being attacked--she still feels everything). So, they are gone too. Now, both Feral and Wild Child are awesome fighters and have super strength. The could do some serious damage to others. Kane's metal parts wouldn't last long with Wild Child's razor sharp claws. Sunspot can absorb solar energy; however, Magma's power I don't think is considered solar, so he couldn't do too much (unless it was a hot and sunny day). If Sabra had her cape, she could last for a long time by flying around, but without her cape she would probably be taken out by Wild Child and/or Feral.
This would leave Wild Child, Black Tom, Feral, and Magma as my Final Four. Black Tom can absorb life force and can heal fast (especially in his "wood form"). However, between Feral and Wild Child's attacks and Magma being able to use volcanic powers, it would be too much for him and he would be taken down. Between Wild Child and Feral, I think Wild Child's superior fighting training and razor sharp claws would make him the winner between the two.
So, the final battle would be Wild Child and Magma. If Wild Child got to Magma first, it would be all over. However, if Magma changed into her "fiery form" first, Wild Child would be hurt from his own attack. But, I think Magma's power to "call forth molten rock from the Earth's core" would be a very powerful tool against any foe. So, Magma would probably be hurt pretty bad by Wild Child's attacks, but ultimately she would be victorious in battle!

I think Lila is out, because all she can do is teleport and she'd have to stay put to fight. Skids' powers are also more defensive in nature, and while she might survive ok enough to run away, she couldn't win a battle. Dazzler, Sabra, Feral, and Skin don't seem strong enough to me. Sunspot can wield heat, but I think Magma is stronger in the heat category. I think Black Tom's "wood form" would just get burned... you know, like... wood. Cecilia could do some damage, but the pain she feels by shielding herself from being burned would probably make her pass out, and then she would die. Proteus' weakness is metal, so I think Kane would take him out with his metal arms.
ReplyDeleteAnd then, with Magma, Kane, and Wild Child left, I think Magma would just cause a huge earthquake and then use the molten lava from earth's core to melt down everyone. She'd probably just do that first and end the battle pretty quick.
I do think Porteus has amazing powers but I don't feel like I have the details to assume he is unstoppable. He can posses multiple people, but never seems to posses multiple super powered people. Possession sounds like a mental ability, which in almost every case require concentration, focus and time. In a battle like this, an energy being will be a hot target. Based on pictures Kane has guns to kill him off quickly. He will be one of the finalists but not the winner.
ReplyDeleteMagma's ability to shift the tectonic plates will bring almost all other contenders to the ground allowing her to summon lava and finish them off. (Including Porteus because metal comes from the earth Magma would likely find some)
In my opinion, the finalist would be Magma, Sunspot and Sabra (Because the last 2 can fly to avoid Magma) Volcanoes can spew out ash and toxic gases into the air, reducing Sunspots's strength also eventually finishing them off.
I do think Magma's appearance as a small girl would make her top foes attack each other first giving her time to pull all this off before they could counter attack.
