Battle Ultimate

We've had a Battle Royal...a Battle Royal 2...a Battle Royal 3...and a Battle Royal 4! There have been 50 characters that have been involved in the Battle Royals so far! We have had a 1st and 2nd place from each Battle Royal, which gives us the "People's Choice" of the 8 strongest Marvel characters! Now, Ladies and Gentlemen...it's time for the...BATTLE ULTIMATE!!!

Put the good and evil notion to the side. It's EVERYONE vs. EVERYONE. No alliances! Just pure power and abilities versus others' powers and abilities! Only ONE can be left standing! Please choose who you think would win among your chosen 8 strongest Marvel characters. Also, if you have time, please leave the reason why you think the character you chose would win in the "Comment" section below. This way, we can all see your reasoning in choosing your winner. Who will be the victor? Only you can decide!

Our chosen 8 strongest characters are...
.Deadpool, Blade, Jean Grey, Silver Surfer, Professor X, Juggernaut, Rogue, and Wolverine! (If you have forgotten some of these characters' powers/abilities, go ahead and check out their bios right here on the Marvel Madness blog.)

  1. First of all, I don't even know how Wolverine made it into the top 8 list, so I'm not even consider him! So, with the remaining 7 characters...OUCH! After this battle, I don't think much would be left of the city they decided to battle in.

As I have mentioned before with the Battle Royals, Deadpool is slightly more powerful than Blade. I still stand by my reasoning that Professor X couldn't control Juggernaut (due to his helmet), along with Jean Grey or Silver Surfer, and Professor X would be crushed! Which leaves us with the top 5!

Juggernaut is big and bad, but Rogue could take him out, probably rip his helmet off to allow Jean Grey to use a type of mind-control on him. Either that or Deadpool would use his weapon-skills to hit the "soft spots" on the Juggernaut's face to eliminate him. Now, Deadpool can regenerate (even vital organs); however, with Rogue sucking his powers, this would leave Deadpool...Deadmeat! Also, Rogue would eventually be overwhelmed by the mind powers of Jean Grey or Silver Surfer and be destroyed!

The top 2: Jean Grey and Silver Surfer! Both have mind powers, both can fly, both can manipulate matter, and I stand by my original vote when they battled each other earlier...Silver Surfer would be victorious!

SILVER SURFER! THE BATTLE ULTIMATE CHAMPION!

  2. I agree with Cory. I don't think Rouge would last long unless she picked up a healing power right off the bat and it stayed with her. I think Juggernaut would be a tough contender but Jean and Surfer are too powerful for him to keep his helmet on. I think the winner would be surfer. Going off of comics or movies they are both insanely powerful but one of Surfer's powers is "nearly indestructible." Jean doesn't have that. If Wolverine can stop her then I think that the Surfer who can detonate a planet eating being could make short work the other 7 he's fighting. Another vote for Silver surfer.

  4. While Silver Surfer doesn't have a lot of weaknesses, he does have them and they are all mental. He is ashamed of his past and he has a soft spot for humans. Here is how I think this battle would work out. Surfer would try to start a black hole, but Professor X would get in his mind and stop him, then Jean Grey would make everybody levitate and pull them apart into smithereens except for silver surfer who would be completely mindless and regretful that he would be destroyed mentally and emotionally and would just die.

  5. Jean Grey would tear apart everyone's atoms again... it would be tough, but the Phoenix Force would come out and nobody, not even Silver Surfer, would stand a chance.

  6. Jean Grey would win I think, isn't that what one of the X-men movies was about, how powerful she was. Thanks for a great 2009 Marvel year.

  7. I agree with cory for the most part. However, Jean Grey just by herself was never actually that powerful....you cant go by the movie, it was not that accurate, if she is the Phoenix than thats a different story, but since it only says Jean Grey than she would not even be in the conversation. It would come down to Surfer and Rouge, they both are super strong, can fly, and are "Nearly Indestructible", but Rouge is almost completely immune to mind attacks which was forgotten. When she absorbs powers from people she also absorbs part of their consciousness. So she has a bunch of peoples minds stuck in her own. Rouge also has that 6th sense to predict opponents moves so she would have an advantage. I think it would be really close but Rouge gets close enough to drain the surfer and then game over. Rouge wins

  8. You bring up some good points, Markhop. Rogue is pretty intense! She probably could resist the mind probing; however, I feel the "matter-manipulation" by Surfer would still overwhelm Rogue. I do agree that it would be a close one though!

  9. I voted for Silver Surfer. I think it's interesting how the mental powers have proven even more effective than the physical powers overall.

  10. I don't think Rogue would make it very far. Simply put, she isn't fast enough. Sure, she's strong, and she can take some of the others out pretty easily if she gets close, but with Deadpool's teleportation, there's no way she'd be able to get close enough to take him out. As for Jean and Silver Surfer... I think Deadpool would still take them out, but probably by breaking the 4th wall and some law of the Marvel universe. That's the benefit of being a semi joke character: you're not always constrained to the same rules.

  11. Rampaging Elk, you got a good point. Deadpool is good at breaking that "4th wall." Therefore, he could probably ask the artists to erase the other characters and he could possibly win. ;-)

  12. I don't believe Frost has the powers to win this over. She sounds very powerful in an individual fight but in this group setting I don't think her mental powers can hold off a large number of people (Its doesn't say she can or can't handle multiple people at a time). Also with the Lizard, which mind does she attack, the Lizard's or Doc Connors?
I do believe Galactus would be in the grand finally. He clearly has the most bang for his buck.
I however voted Black Heart to be the winner. He can regenerate, dimensional teleport to avoid blasts from Galactus. The dark energy sounds like something Galactus couldn't counter. He also has the "Unrevealed" part to his powers. He is straight up evil he would use as many dirty tricks as he could to win which may include a few new powers or abilities.
