Other Info
Dr. Abraham Cornelius was employed by the mysterious "Professor" to be a senior scientists for Weapon X program. At some point after World War II, when Wolverine was taken in by the Weapon X project, Dr. Cornelius was given the task of perfecting and using a technique that would bond the adamantium to human bone cells. (This adamantium-bonding process was first created by Lord Dark Wind--Lady Deathstrike's father) After perfecting the process, Cornelius succeeded in bonding Wolverine's skeleton with adamantium. Afterward, the Wolverine was recruited into the Weapon X assassin program. (To learn about the above highlighted program and/or characters, just click on their names. Note: Beware of the very revealing outfit worn by Lady Deathstrike on her bio page.)

Year laters, Dr. Cornelius, along with Japanese crimelord Matsu'o Tsurayaba and his allies, resurrected the Russian super-soldier Omega Red. In order to stabilize Omega Red's mutant powers, they required the Carbonadium Synthesizer (aka C-Synthesizer)--a device stolen from him by Team X years earlier. Therefore, Omega Red went out and captured Wolverine and several of his X-Men teammates (Wolverine had the location of the C-Synthesizer buried in his memory). However, Maverick was hired by former Team X liaison Major Arthur Barrington to prevent Omega Red from obtaining the C-Synthesizer. In addition, Maverick tracked another former Team X member, Sabretooth, to Omega Red's location as well. With Maverick's help, the X-Men were able to defeat the villains. In the final confrontation, Dr. Cornelius was shot and killed by Maverick in an act of revenge for resurrecting Omega Red. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the characters, device, and/or teams.)

  1. He's pretty smart to figure that all out - shouldn't one of his abilities be "excellent scientist" or "above average brain" or something? =)
