Other Info
Fandral is believed to have been partially responsible for the myth of Robin Hood. While on Midgard (Earth) during the Middle Ages, Fandral traveled to an unknown part of Europe and married a mortal women named Marian. Fandral's early earthly adventures mirrored much of the known Robin Hood adventures. When Marian passed away, Fandral returned to Asgard. However, once a year on Marian's death, Fandral returns to Midgard to the isolated part of Europe in remembrance of the life they both shared. Fandral is a strong and brave Asgardian warrior and adventurer. He has been involved in a great many adventures, quests, and battles as a member of The Warriors Three (also including Hogun and Volstagg), as an ally and friend of Thor, and on his own. Fandral is known for his superior swordsmanship, bravery, ego, and extreme optimism. Also, no matter the consequences, he will always do the right thing, even if the result was death. In addition, Fandral is well known for his good looks, which earned him the name "Fandral the Dashing." Because of this, he received much attention from women. As an Asgardian warrior, Fandral has encountered many foes in battle. Some of these battles included fighting against Loki's rebellions, battling against the dragon Fafnir, Ego-Prime, Grey Gargoyle, Executioner, and the Enchantress. He has helped defend Asgard from the Destroyer, Mangog, and Surtur, among others. Fandral has also encountered the Hulk and Silver Surfer before. At one point, Fandral even helped the Avengers battle Blastaar. (To learn about the different characters above, just click on their highlighted names. Note: Beware of the revealing outfit worn by the Enchantress on her and the Executioner's bio pages. Also, beware of the revealing outfit on Loki's bio page in his woman-form)

Fandral was presumed dead following the events of the recent Ragnarok when The Warriors Three came under arrow attack from a flying ship. However, in reality, his soul (like all the others who presumably perished in the Ragnarok) somehow got trapped inside a human being, named Trevor Newly. After Thor's rebirth, when he started to bring other Asgardians back, Fandral was among some of first Asgardians found and freed along with his two friends Hogun and Volstagg. More recently, Fandral resides in a new Asgard built by Thor near old Route 66 in Oklahoma.

  1. I think it's funny that he's "exceptionally" handsome and charming... I wonder if that ability will be any help in the battle royal. ;-)

Also, if Thor is successful enough long term, I wonder if they'll do a prequal that would explain more about Thor and his friends... I think part of why it doesn't sell as much is because lots of people don't know who they are...

  2. I agree more people don't know about Thor, at the same time it is hard for me to believe that because well I am a nerd and assume everyone has dedicated the same amount of time and energy that the Marvel universe deserves.

Speaking of the Marvel Universe, Corey you should check out a cartoon series The Avengers: Mightiest Heros of the world. Found it the other day on netflix and am quite surprised by it, has everyone from absorbing man to mad thinker, and Thor to black panther.

  3. Kirk: I know, right?! Doesn't everyone invest lots of their time in the Marvel Universe!?

As for the The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes...I've heard of it. But, I'll have to check it out!
