Unidentified mother, step-father & sister; Beak (husband), Tito (son), Axel (son), Kara (daughter), three unidentified children
As Angel: Angel possessed several superhuman abilities akin to those of the common housefly. She had a pair of veined wings growing from her back that allowed her to fly and which she could vibrate at high speed to create a deafening ultrasonic sound. She possessed a reproductive system that involved laying eggs with a complete gestation period of only five days from conception to birth. Angel was also able to vomit a highly acidic substance that she used to partially digest her food prior to consumption.
As Tempest: When she later became a member of the New Warriors, she gained technologically based fire, ice, and flight powers from the new costume given to her.
When Angel Salvadore was fourteen-years old, she was driven out of her home by her abusive step-father. When Angel was sleeping in the woods that evening, her mutant nature manifested itself in the form of a protective cocoon. When she awoke, Angel emerged from the cocoon shocked to discover she had grown fly-like wings.
Soon after, Angel was found by the U-Men (a group of humans who harvested mutant body parts to graft onto themselves). However, before they could make Angel their next unwilling donor, she was rescued by Wolverine and taken to the Xavier Institute where Angel reluctantly enrolled as a student. (To learn about the above highlighted team, character, and/or place, just click on their names.)
Soon after enrolling as a student, Angel was forced to help the Stepford Cuckoos and Beak oppose an assault by the alien Shi'ar Imperial Guard. After the attack, Angel was placed in the Special Class taught by the mutant healer Xorn. (To learn about the characters, races, and/or teams, click on their highlighted names above.)
Later, during a flight class, Angel accepted a dare to kiss Beak. This caused Beak to fall in love with her. And to her own surprise, Angel began to fall for him as well. During, a school camping trip they snuck away to have an intimate encounter before they were attacked by U-Men. With Xorn's help, the U-Men were defeated. Then when the Special Class returned to the Institute, they were just in time to help in stopping a riot fomented by Quentin Quire. (To learn about Kid
Omega, click on his highlighted name above.)
Soon afterwards, Angel told Beak she was pregnant (Angel had decided to lay her eggs on the ceiling of a shack on the school's grounds). Because Angel did not get along well with Emma Frost, Angel became a suspect when Emma Frost was supposedly murdered. However, she was later cleared of those suspicions when Emma was revived and she named the Stepford Cuckoos sister Esme as her true killer. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about Emma Frost. Note: Beware of the very revealing outfits on Emma Frost's bio page.)
After the events of "M-Day," both Angel and Beak (now married) discovered they and all of their children (except Tito) had lost their mutant powers and their unusual appearances. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about Tito and/or M-Day. Note: Beware of the revealing and form-fitting outfits worn by some on the House of M bio page.)
More recently, Angel and Beak were invited by Night Thrasher to join the newest incarnation of the New Warriors. With no powers, Angel and Beak were given high-tech outfits by Night Thrasher. With her new suit, Angel went by the name "Tempest" because her suit gave her fire, ice, and wind/flight powers. Even after the team disbanded, both her and her husband still fight evil together.
