Battle Royal 7

Oh yeah! It's time for Battle Royal 7! Ok...imagine if thirteen Marvel characters were to be in a huge battle where there could only be ONE victor. Put the good and evil notion to the side. It's EVERYONE vs. EVERYONE. No alliances! Only ONE can be left standing. Please choose who you think would win among thirteen Marvel characters in the poll.

Also, if you have time, please leave the reason why you think the character you chose would win in the "comment" section below. This way, we can all see your reasoning in choosing your winner. Who will be the victor? Only YOU can decide!

The thirteen characters that are involved in the battle are the last thirteen characters that have been highlighted on the Marvel Madness blog: Kestrel, Psylocke, Man-Thing, William Stryker, Siryn, Stepford Cuckoos, Mastermind, Howard the Duck, John Jameson, Gwen Stacy, Betty Brant, Mary Jane, and Justin Hammer. (If you have forgotten some of these characters' powers/abilities, go ahead and check out their bios right here on the Marvel Madness blog.)

  1. Well, as always, the humans with no powers go first. Also, I don't think Howard the Duck would last long either. This leaves 7 left: Kestrel, Psylocke, Man-Thing, Siryn, Stepford Cuckoos, Mastermind, and John Jameson (in Man-Wolf form).

However, John Jameson (as Man-Wolf) would be taken out next probably because he gets his powers only in the Moon-light. In addition, Man-Thing's powers are connected to how close he is to a swamp. So, both of them would be taken out. Kestrel and Siryn would then be next. Kestrel can teleport around, and Siryn would cause lots of damage with her screams; however, both would eventually be brought down by the mind powers of the remaining characters.

This leaves the "Mind Battle" between Psylocke, Stepford Cuckoos, and Mastermind. Now, the Stepford Cuckoos have strength in numbers; however, between Psylocke's "psychic knives" and Mastermind's illusions, they don't stand a chance.

Psylocke vs Mastermind. The final two. Now, Mastermind can create all kinds of illusions that Psylocke would believe are true. Psylocke is an awesome fighter. So, I believe it would be very very close. Psylocke and Mastermind would go back and forth with illusions, telepathy, and mind control; however, with Psylocke's superior fighting abilities, she would come out the winner.

    The victor is PSYLOCKE!!!

  2. Howard the duck by a landslide! Seriously, have you seen this guy dance? He battled some really really scary creature from another dimension and sent his butt back to where he came from... I am of the opinion that he would slip under the radar for quite some time and then the psychic powers wouldn't work on him since he is a duck and not a human. Then he would simply send psylock and mastermind to the scary other dimension world and that would be that!

  3. I agree with Cory that this will wind down to a "Battle of the minds." Man-thing can be manipulated emotionally by some of these players. However I don't think Mastermind could really do much. The whole group would see the same illusion, he can't target individuals. So the best thing he could do it make himself invisible or appear to be behind a wall. Perhaps he could make the illusion everyone was drowning he could do some damage.

The Cuckoos can control others but they have a problem. Psylocke, she is immune to mental probes and manipulations. Psylocke would see through Masterminds illusions and be immune to mind control. The cuckoos are also safe from Psylocke's mental powers but not martial arts.

I am intrigued by the powers of Howard the Duck and agree his mind will be safe but not from telekinetic Katanas and bolts.

    Winner: Psylocke
