Abilities
Sharon is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, martial artist, athlete, and markswoman; she is a highly trained espionage agent and an expert with weapons and computers.

Other Info
Sharon Carter grew up hearing the stories of her Aunt Peggy's adventures in the French Resistance alongside Captain America. Therefore, being inspired by these stories, Sharon eventually joined the newly-formed espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D. During an early mission against HYDRA, Sharon (now code-named "Agent 13") was attacked by the mercenary Batroc the Leaper. During the attack, Captain America showed up to aid Carter. Afterward, Agent 13 and Captain America worked alongside each other on several future missions against A.I.M., the Red Skull, and more. (To learn about the above highlighted characters and/or teams, just click on their highlighted names.)

After more missions, S.H.I.E.L.D. allowed Agent 13 to reveal her real identity to Captain America. Soon after, the two began a romantic relationship.

At one point, Sharon Carter briefly helped form and lead S.H.I.E.L.D.'s so-called Femme Force (an all-women squad of commandos). Shortly thereafter, Sharon resigned from S.H.I.E.L.D. to take a vacation and spend more time with Steve Rogers. (To learn about the Femme Force, click on the highlighted name above.)

Later on, Agent 13 was assigned as liaison to the NYPD while investigating the terrorist organization known as the National Force. During a rally in Central Park, Carter fell to the affects of mind-influencing gases, and and was abducted with the others by the National Force's Grand Director. Then Carter, along with others, were coerced into marching on Harlem to burn it down. However, when confronted by the National Guard, Carter apparently activated a self-destruct device in her costume and was believed incinerated with other members of the rally. Thus, leaving Captain America grieving her death. However, Agent 13's death was a actually a ruse by S.H.I.E.L.D., so that she could be sent on a top-secret mission. However, something went wrong, and S.H.I.E.L.D. also believed that Agent 13 had died and she was left abandoned behind enemy lines. (To learn about the National Force and/or the Grand Director, click on the highlighted names above. Note: Beware of the low-cut outfit worn by someone in the background of Nick Fury's bio page.)

Over the next few months, Sharon had been abandoned in enemy territory and was imprisoned under the dictatorship of Tap-Kwai. At one point, Carter finally escaped and spent the next few years as a mercenary. Sharon's experiences cost her much of her idealism, making her hard and bitter. At one point, she infiltrated an organization known as the "Kubekult." Carter learned that this group had planned to resurrect Adolf Hitler by the Cosmic Cube. Due to this, Sharon became the unlikely ally of the Red Skull (who opposed the cult for his own reasons). To assist them, the Red Skull revived the temporarily comatose Captain America, who was stunned to learn of that Sharon was alive. Although Carter, still scarred by her past experiences, attempted to keep her former lover at a distance. Afterward, she continued to work alongside Captain America against such opponents as Nightmare and Count Nefaria. She also rescued Nick Fury, who was believed to be dead, from a pocket dimension he had been trapped in during a mission. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the characters and/or object.)

Later on, Agent 13 eventually served as S.H.I.E.L.D. Director while Nick Fury was on an assignment. Following Fury's return, Carter resumed her position as a S.H.I.E.L.D. field agent, and she and Captain America fully reconciled and even considered renewing their romance. The two also began an investigation of the Winter Soldier. However, soon their relationship again became strained when Cap learned of Agent 13's reluctant involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s anti-mutant Contingency, and the couple again parted ways. (To learn about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)

After the events of the super-hero Civil War, Captain America had surrendered, and was brought to the Federal Courthouse in New York City to face his arraignment. IT was Agent 13 who was the person who escorted Cap, unaware that she had been brainwashed by Dr. Faustus (who had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. posing as Carter's psychologist). It was the Red Skull (secretly alive within the mind of ex-Soviet general--Aleksander Lukin), Dr. Faustus, and Arnim Zola was behind the plan. Captain America was shot first by a sniper, Crossbones, then subsequently by Sharon several times at point blank amid the chaos. Oblivious to firing the gun, Carter accompanied Captain America to Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. At the hospital, the Red Skull's daughter, Sinthia, spoke the keyword to release Faustus' hold on Sharon; thus, making her aware of the horror of what she had been programmed to do. (To learn about event and/or characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)

Soon after, Sharon discovered that the gun that killed Captain America was not an actual gun but a device made to displace him in time. Therefore, to bring Rogers back, Sharon called on the assistance of Hank Pym and Reed Richards. Unfortunately, Agent 13 was captured by Norman Osborn and the Red Skull. But, Captain America and the Avengers showed up and together with Agent 13, they defeated the Skull and his forces. Soon after, Sharon Carter re-kindled her romantic relationship with Steve Rogers. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the characters and/or team.)

Later on, after Osborn's defeat at the Siege of Asgard, Captain America became the United States' "Top Cop." Under his command, Captain America created a new structure of teams: the Avengers managed by Maria Hill; the New Avengers with Victoria Hand as their liaison; and a covert team called the Secret Avengers--which Sharon joined. (To learn about the event, character, and/or teams above, just click on their highlighted name above.)

More recently, Sharon Carter (never shy with her thoughts) proposed marriage to Steve Rogers; however, before he could answer, Captain America was stranded in Dimension Z (a dimenision created by Arnim Zola). Eventually, Agent 13 found a way to rescue Captain America and to prevent an invasion of Arnim Zola's mutates from Dimension Z and infecting the world; however, to do so, Sharon had to sacrifice herself. Which she did in a self-detonating gigantic explosion.

To learn a little bit more about Agent 13, click on the following Marvel.com bio link, https://marvel.com/universe/Carter,_Sharon.

In the original comic book continuity, Sharon Carter and Peggy Carter were sisters. But, later on, Sharon had to be "retconned" (altering the storyline of a fictional character) as Peggy's niece due to the unaging nature of comic book characters.

Batroc is supremely agile and one of the most formidable unarmed combatants in the world. He has mastered numerous martial arts and is one of the  world's leading experts at "savate" (French-style kick-boxing). He is an accomplished thief and smuggler with extensive military training. Batroc is an Olympic level weightlifter and is capable of lifting about 500 lbs. He is also bilingual (French and English). Batroc currently carries a pair of whip-canes, which he also uses with great skill.

Other Info
Georges Batroc was born in Marseille, France. Once he grew up, Batroc served in the French Foreign Legion. During this time, Batroc trained himself in "savate" (French-style kick-boxing). At one point, he left the Foreign Leagion, and began to sell his services to the highest bidder as a costumed mercenary as, Batroc the Leaper. Although originally working alone, he at time would recruit fellow rogues and criminals when a job required, forming his "Batroc’s Brigade." (To learn about the different Batroc's Brigades, just click on their name above.)

Batroc the Leaper's mercenary adventures often led him into criminal activities, which led to him clashing with many costumed crime fighters, such as Punisher, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Gambit, and most notably Captain America. In fact, Batroc first battled Captain America when he was hired by HYDRA to steal the Inferno 42 cylinder (the most destructive element of all time--the cylinder could lay waste to the entire island of Manhattan). However, he was defeated by Captain America. (To learn about all the above highlighted characters and/or team, just click on their names.)

Soon afterward, Batroc was again hired by HYDRA, but this time to kidnap Sharon Carter. This lured Captain America into a rematch, which Batroc insisted that HYDRA not intervene. However, when HYDRA agents prepared to kill both Captain America and himself, Batroc stated they were men without honor. (Bartoc the Leaper, at heart, was an honorable man who staunchly lived by the "Way of the Warrior.") Therefore, after HYDRA's interference with their fight, Batroc actually switched sides and helped Captain America against HYDRA. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about Sharon Carter.)

At one point, an alien named Jakar (concealing his true nature and intent) hired Batroc and his Brigade to abduct children from New York and to battle Captain America and Falcon. Batroc felt no guilt about abducting children; however, upon learning Jakar's true nature and his intent to use the children's souls to revive his comatose race, he felt his sense of honor had been violated by the deception. Therefore, Batroc the Leaper again switched sides and aided Captain America and the Falcon to rescue the children. (To learn about the Falcon, click on the highlighted name above.)

Later on, Batroc joined forces with Mister Hyde and attempted an extortion scheme against Manhattan. During their scheme, Batroc battled Captain America; however, when Mister Hyde decided to carry out the threat (which would kill thousands), Batroc, again showed that there were some lines he wasn't willing to cross, and aided Captain America against Mister Hyde. Thus, saving the city. (To learn about Mister Hyde, click on the highlighted name above.)

Batroc the Leaper was later seen among the villains hired by Klaw for his invasion on Wakanda. During the invasion, the Rhino, Radioactive Man, and others along with the Klaw's troops battled at the front lines, while Batroc and Klaw went after Queen Mother Ramonda. The two took Ramonda hostage, intending to get to the Black Panther (T'Challa). However, the Black Panther (S'Yan) and a couple of Dora Milaje (daughters of rival tribes who serve T'Challa as bodyguards) intervened and the two groups engaged in battle where Klaw's forces lost. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about he characters, place, and/or team. Also, Batroc during his time in Wakanda is shown in the fifth picture posted above.)

At one point, Batroc had a daughter. When she grew older, she teamed up with the daughter of another super villain named Tarantula. Both daughters took on their fathers' respective costumes and titles. Unfortunately, the Taskmaster beat and killed both of their daughters during a battle. (To learn about the above highlighted characters, just click on their names.)

Much later, Batroc the Leaper served in
Baron Zemo's Thunderbolts. However, after returning to federal custody, Batroc registered with the Superhuman Registration Act. He was then sent to a superhuman training facility where he trained recruits in martial arts. (To learn about the character, team, and/or event above, just click on the highlighted names.)

More recently, Batroc has found government work unsatisfactory and has returned to his life of mercenary/criminal activities.

To learn a little bit more about Batroc the Leaper, click on the following Marvel.com bio link, https://marvel.com/universe/Batroc_%28Georges_Batroc%29.

Batroc the Leaper is in the film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He is played by former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre.

During the crossover, Justice League/Avengers, Batroc the Leaper briefly confronted Batman when he was one of the villains recruited by Krona for his army. The Dark Knight did defeat Batroc, but with great difficulty.

Lorelei

Real Name
Lorelei

Occupation
Sorceress, Seductress

Citizenship

Group Affiliation
Asgardians

Education

Sorcery

Height

5' 5"

Weight

320 lbs.

Eyes

Blue-green

Hair

Reddish Blonde

Powers

Lorelei possesses the conventional attributes of an Asgardian woman. Like all Asgardians, she is extremely long-lived, aging at an extremely slow rate upon reaching adulthood, superhumanly strong, immune to all Earth diseases, and resistant to conventional injury. Asgardian flesh and bone is about three times denser than similar human tissue, contributing to the gods' superhuman strength and weight. Lorelei's Asgardian metabolism gives her superhuman endurance at all physical activities. Lorelei may have the potential for having mystical powers like her sister, but she has chosen not develop it. However, after being resurrected by Seth, her magical powers were greatly enhanced, even beyond those of her sister.

Abilities

Lorelei's great beauty and seductive manner enable her to persuade virtually any male god or mortal to do whatever she wants. Lorelei has some knowledge of sorcery, mostly pertaining to love charms and potions.

Other Info

Lorelei is a native to Asgard, and is the younger sister of the sorceress, Amora the Enchantress. Both sisters use their beauty and wiles to overpower any male that they desire. However, unlike Amora, Lorelei does not have any interest in mastering sorcery, besides learning certain skills to aid her in her goals. (Click the highlighted names above to learn more about Asgard and/or Amora. Note: Beware of the form-fitting outfit worn by Amora on her bio page.)

One day, Loki asked if Lorelei would be willing to seduce his longtime enemy--his stepbrother Thor. Lorelei, being already physically attracted to Thor, agreed with little hesitation to Loki's plan. Therefore, she prepared a love potion which, if Thor drank it, would cause the God of Thunder to fall madly in love with the first woman he saw. It was Loki's hope that Thor would fall in love with Lorelei and be distracted from Loki's schemes of gaining power. Once the point was ready, Lorelei left for Midgard (Earth). Once she arrived in New York City, she claimed to be a mortal human named "Melodi." Once there, she confronted Thor's old enemy, the dragon Fafnir, but the dragon used his hypnotic abilities to overpower her. Fafnir then took Lorelei captive and used her as bait to lure Thor into a trap at the construction site where Thor worked in his secret identity as "Sigurd Jarlson." As Jarlson, Thor saved Lorelei from death, and then fought Fafnir in his godly identity. Afterward, Jarlson (Thor) and Melodi (Lorelei) became friends. Melodi was clearly attempting to deepen the relationship into a romance. However, different circumstances prevented her from getting Jarlson to drink the golden mead she had prepared using the love potion. (To learn more about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names. Note: Beware of the low-cut outfit of Loki in his woman-form on his bio page. Also, Lorelei as Melodi is shown in the third picture posted above)

At one point, Lorelei was kidnapped by Malekith, leader of the Dark Elves. He used sorcery to cause a stock of wood to take on the appearance of Melodi, and this magically animated false Melodi gave Jarlson the mead to drink. Due to the love potion's spell, Thor fell madly in love with Melodi. However, Malekith then told Thor that the real Melodi was his prisoner. Thus, Thor became enraged and eventually rescued Melodi from the Dark Elves. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the character and/or race.)

Soon afterward, Surtur began his war against Asgard. However, Lorelei did not return to defend Asgard against Surtur's demonic hordes, which infuriated her sister, Amora. (To learn about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)

Later, Lorelei returned to Loki and the two developed another plan to take over Asgard. Loki gave Lorelei the Elixir of Lofn (which if Thor inhaled its vapors, it would make him fall so deeply in love with her that he would become slave to whatever Lorelei wanted.) Lorelei did so, and once she had control of Thor, she made him give up the throne to Loki. However, in an act of revenge (due to Lorelei not defending Asgard), Amora the Enchantress cast a spell on Odin's Scepter of Power, knowing that Loki would pick it up, which he indeed did. Due to the spell, when Lorelei next saw Loki, she fell madly in love with him. The Enchantress' plan was that by having Lorelei love the heartless Loki, that Lorelei would eventually be destroyed emotionally. However, Loki responded to Lorelei's new interest in him. But, Thor's friend, Heimdall, realized that Thor was under Lorelei's control, and devised a plan to save him. He had the Enchantress urged Thor to visit Loki when he knew that Loki and Lorelei were in each other's arms. Thus, when Thor saw them together, his rage made him realize he himself was under a spell. He then forced Loki to release him from the spell, and left the two of them together. However, as the Enchantress predicted, Loki grew tired of Lorelei. (To learn more about the two Asgardians highlighted above, just click on their names.)

At one point, Lorelei returned to Asgard; however, upon her return, she was caught in the middle of an invasion on Asgard by Seth. After watching her Amora nobly launch an attack against Seth, and seeing her apparent death, Lorelei fled from Asgard to ensure her survival. Unfortunately, before she could escape, she was in a fight between Seth and Balder where she was inadvertently wounded, and soon after died. After Seth's invasion failed, Amora was distraught to learn that her sister died. Afterward, the Enchantress was approached by the spirit of Skurge, on behalf of Hela, who offered to spare Lorelei from her realm (Hel) if Amora gave her soul in place of her sister's. Deeming the cost too high, Amora allowed Hela to claim Lorelei. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn baout the different characters. Note: Beware of the revealing outfit worn by Hela on her bio page.)

After having her spirit trapped in Hel for some time, Lorelei eventually took control over the Destroyer armor (which Thor had discarded there earlier) and used it to take over the realm. However, Lorelei's reign was short-lived due in part to Lady Sif and Balder reluctantly helping Hela regain her domain. (To learn about the above highlighted characters, just click on their names. Note: Beware of the revealing outfit worn by Sif on her bio page. Also, Lorelei as the Destroyer is shown in the fourth picture posted above.)

At one point, Lorelei returned to life by the power of Seth to face the Asgardians that had lost their godly status and their powers. However, Amora killed Lorelei to free her from Seth's control. (To learn about Asgardians, click on the highlighted name above.)

Later, Lorelei returned to life again. However, now she used the alias "Ice Queen" and allied with Pluto, who promised the two would conquer Earth. Therefore, Pluto turned to Lorelei and bound her to the Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington) spirit; thus, creating a new Valkyrie. Now amnesiac and mute, Lorelei was discovered by Nighthawk, of the Defenders, who mistook her for his former teammate Valkyrie (Brunnhilde). However, after Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington) broke free from Pluto's spell, she helped the Defenders battle against Lorelei and Pluto. Then when Zeus arrived to end the battle and punish the two, Lorelei and Pluto fled from the battle. (To learn about the race, character, and/or team above, just click on their names. Also, Lorelei in her Valkyrie form is shown in the fifth picture posted above, and her as the Ice Queen is shown as the last picture.)

Later on, due to her absence during the Ragnarok event that destroyed Asgard, Lorelei appeared to be the only surviving Asgardian. However, her current location is unknown. (To learn about Ragnarok, click on the highlighted event above.)

Lorelei makes an appearance in the TV show, Marvel's Agents of Shield. She was said to have been one of the prisoners who escaped from Odin's prisons during the movie, Thor: The Dark World.

Michael "Mike" Duffy was a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. He was in charge of Camp Lehigh in Virginia and was known as a stern taskmaster.

Following the transformation of Steve Rogers into "Captain America" through Operation: Rebirth, Rogers was assigned to Camp Lehigh. Sgt. Duffy's first assignment for Steve was to guard General Ellsworth. However, Rogers reported for duty too late to stop Ellsworth from being eliminated by a Nazi spy. However, Steve later caught the spy as Captain America. (To learn about the Nazi Party, click on the highlighted name above.)

Sgt. Duffy often chewed out the junior enlisted men and was particularly fond of tormenting Private Steve Rogers and camp mascot James "Bucky" Barnes. Often times, the troops would play pranks on Sgt. Duffy and Rogers and Barnes would be blamed for their tricks. In addition, Duffy often gave Rogers and Barnes punishments for abandoning their posts, such as potato peeling, onion peeling, boot blacking, marching, and guard house duties (unaware that Rogers and Barnes were often absent or late to their posts due to fighting criminals/villains as Captain America and Bucky). In addition, both Mike Duffy and Steve Rogers battled for the affection of FBI agent Betsy Ross--which did help with Duffy's actions towards Rogers. (To learn about the above highlighted character, just click on their names above.)

At one point, Camp Lehigh put on a play to boost soldier morale and Sgt. Duffy was in charge of its organization. However, the play was briefly interrupted due to an attack by the Red Skull. (To learn about the Red Skull, click on the highlighted name above.)

After the U.S. entered World War II following the attacks on Pearl Harbor, Sgt. Duffy and his troops were deployed on various missions both within the United States and overseas such as England, Egypt, India, and China. Even in these situations, Duffy was constantly having to punish Rogers and Barnes for their apparent acts of insubordination for being late and/or AWOL from their positions.

At one point, Sgt. Duffy showed some uncharacteristic remorse when it appeared that Rogers and Barnes were killed during a Japanese ambush on a convoy transporting explosives to Camp Mojave. However, he quickly changed his attitude when the two turned out to be alive.

Later on, when Mock Mikado invaded California, Sgt. Duffy led the counter attack. However, when they arrived, they found that Mikado was already defeated and tied up by Captain America and Bucky.

Many times, while on duty, Sgt. Duffy was saved by Captain America and Bucky. In 1944, Duffy was assigned to oversee the construction of an American base on an island recently liberated from the Japanese. However, when a military base on the Pacific is attacked by Japanese forces, Sgt. Duffy fought them along side Captain America and Bucky. After the battle ended, Duffy noticed the sudden departure of Captain America and Bucky followed by the sudden appearance of Steve Rogers and James Barnes. For a brief moment, Duffy thought about the possibility that his two worst soldiers were really the nations greatest heroes; however, he quickly dismissed the idea as impossible.

Other times include when Duffy and his troops were captured by the Red Skull. Captain America showed up and defeated the Red Skull, but turned the Red Skull over to Duffy to bring him to justice. Another time, Duffy led his troops on a mission into Nazi occupied France. When it appeared that they were trapped by the Nazi forces, Captain America and Bucky attacked and saved Duffy and his troops.

At one point, Duffy had established a girlfriend back home named Flo. However, while on assignment in India, Duffy received a letter from Flo stating that she was upset that Duffy was not a big war hero like Captain America. She considered him to be a coward. Sgt. Duffy blamed this on his constant Rogers and Barnes--believing that whenever there was action he was too busy trying to track down where the pair had went. He vowed to the two that he would show them what he was really made of. With reports of the supposed resurrection of the Prophet of Hate rallying the people of India against the Allied Forces, Sgt. Duffy rushed alone to try to stop the Prophet. However, Mike was soon captured, but was then rescued by Captain America and Bucky. The trio battled with the Prophet and his forces; however, during the fight, Sgt. Duffy was knocked out. After Cap and Bucky defeated the Prophet (and revealed him to be a Japanese spy), Duffy came back around and woke. Captain America convinced Duffy that he played a large role in capturing the phony prophet, which helped redeem Mike in the eyes of his girlfriend back home.

Later on, during duty in New York, Duffy was caught in a bomb explosion. Mike was later discovered alive, but placed in the hospital for his injuries.

After WWII, Sgt. Duffy's whereabouts were unknown. However, later on when Bucky Barnes took up the mantle of Captain America, Steve Rogers came across Michael Duffy's grave stone in the Arlington Cemetery. The cause of death is unknown.

There is nothing there, but here is the link to Sergeant Duffy's bio on Marvel.com, http://marvel.com/universe/Sergeant_Duffy.

Sergeant Duffy appears in the film Captain America: The First Avenger. He is the drill sergeant that challenges the Super Soldier recruits to retrieve the flag from the top of the flagpole during their training run.

Powers
Tyr possesses the superhuman abilities shared by all the Gods of Asgard, such as superhuman speed, stamina, durability, healing factor, longevity, and strength. However, Tyr can lift 35 tons which is more than the average Asgardian male. In addition, he is immune to all Earthly diseases as well as some resistance to magic. After the destruction of Asgard, Tyr revealed that he was a special ability, a hidden power enabling him to summon forth the "Soul of the God of War," releasing destructive energies through his severed hand.

Abilities
Tyr, being the God of War, is an excellent combantant using all forms of Asgardian weaponry such as swords, spears, and shields. In addition, Tyr is a master hand-to-hand combatant. He is also an excellent tactician and Thor stated that Tyr was the best general in Asgard. Before he lost his hand, Tyr was also said to be the master archer of Asgard.

Other Info
A valiant defender of Asgard, Tyr was originally the God of War, and was known for his bravery and courage. At one point, the Gods of Asgard were so afraid of the Wolf God, Fenris, that they decided to shackle him. However, Fenris was too strong and could break any chain he was put in. Therefore, the Asgardians paid the Dwarves of Asgard to build a magical ribbon, Gleipnir, from the roots of a mountain and the beard of a woman. The Asgardians then asked Fenris to let them tie him up with Gleipnir as a game. However, the wolf noticed the fear in their eyes and knew they were deceiving him. So, he allowed them to bind him if one of the gods would put their hand in his mouth, as reassurance that they weren't tricking him. Tyr was the only god who agreed. Then, as soon as Fenris understood that he was tricked, he bit Tyr's hand off. Since then, Tyr has worn a gold ornamental prosthetic in place of his left hand. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about Asgard and/or its people.)

Later on, Thor was born and became the new defender of Asgard; thus, replacing Tyr in that role. In additon, Lady Sif denied Tyr's advances due to her love for Thor. Both of these actions took their toll on the God of War and he finally seeks to take out his anger on Thor. This resulted in him stealing the legendary Mace of the Myth Wars (a weapon of Odin's) to battle Thor. Eventually the two battle one another; however, the mace is broken due to Thor's lightning and Tyr is defeated. Afterwards, the God of War is returned to Asgard. Initially risking punishment for his actions, Sif was able to shine light on Tyr's behavior and motivations and Thor was pardoned while Tyr was chided by Odin. (To learn about the characters highlighted above, just click on their names. Note: Beware Sif's revealing outfit on her bio page.)

Afterward, Tyr's resentment towards Odin and Thor resulted in in the God of War distancing himself from his fellow gods. He even at one point rebelled against Odin and Thor by allying himself himself with Loki. He captured the goddess Idunn and her Golden Apples of Immortality, without which the gods would grow old and perish. In addition, Tyr unleashed the Jormungand (Midgard Serpent) on Earth when it had been strengthened by the Apples, and it is used as a bridge by their army to attack Asgard. With the enemies of Asgard, Tyr followed Odin and the other gods to Earth, where he was betrayed by Loki and ultimately defeated by the All-Father, Odin. (To learn about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names. Note: Beware of the low-cut outfit worn by Loki in his "woman-form" on his bio page.)

After this, Tyr has remained loyal to Asgard. However, he only appears when his people are in danger. Soon, his presence came to be seen as a sign that battle, and the chance for glory, were near. He appeared for such battles when he joined the Asgardian forces, Beta Ray Bill, the Avengers, and the Fantastic Four against Surtur when the fiery demon attacked on Earth. In addition, Tyr fought against Seth, the Heliopolitan God of Death, in the defense of Asgard. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the teams and/or characters.)

Later on, a seer prophesied of a Siege on Asgard by the power-crazy Norman Osborn was to take place and that the God of War was to perish in that battle. However, Tyr dismissed that humans coulb be any threat to Asgardians. However, when the Siege began, Tyr began to realize that the warnings were true. Therefore, Tyr vowed to fight fate and helped to protect Asgard. When the arrival of the Hood's Norn Stone-powered gang turned the tide of the battle against Asgard, Balder and Heimdall left Tyr in charge while they sought out Loki to prevent further mischief. Now in charge, Tyr, fearing the prophecy, abandoned the front lines under the excuse that he was going to try to find more soldiers for the battle. However, when he arrived at the hospital camp, Tyr discovered the Olympian God of War, Ares, was dead. Realizing that the prophecy applied to Ares rather than himself, Tyr cursed his own cowardice and returned to the front lines. He attempted to take the Norn Stones from the Hood, but was struck down. After the battle was over, Tyr cursed himself both for his cowardice and his failure to prepare for the Siege. After the Siege on Asgard, Tyr attended the funeral of Loki where Tyr's status as a son of Odin was revealed. When discussing Asgard's future, several Asgardians nominated Tyr to serve as king in light of Thor's unwillingness and Balder's own failures. However, due to Tyr's shame for his actions during the Siege, Tyr refused. In addition, during the meeting, Hela appeared and revealed the existence of the Disir (Valkyries of Bor, who rebelled against him as well as nature and begun "feeding" on gods) and pleads for aid. Tyr was selected to accompany Thor to Hel to battle the Disir. Here, it was revealed that Tyr was somewhat superstitious and fighting intangibles like Fate or the Disir frightened him. However, he refused to back down and attempted to engage the Disir himself, but was ignored. The Disir insulted him for his past cowardice and said that they would rather see him live in shame than devour him. Enraged by this and driven to protect Hela, Tyr for the first time demonstrated his power by removing the protective casing off his hand, and displayed a glowing energy form, which he could use to cause pain to the Disir. Tyr was determined enough to hold the Disir until Thor found a way to defeat them. Afterward, Hela personally expressed her thanks to the God of War. Also, the last picture posted above shows Tyr with the energy coming from his hand.)

Still reeling from his cowardice, later, Tyr joined Balder in a suicide mission against the Ano-Athox. He took many of his enemies down, but the numbers were overwhelming and Tyr was slain during the battle.

However, still counted as one of the dead, Tyr later became a general of Hela. The relationship between the two, the War God and Death Goddess was rather close and amiable. Tyr appeared rather loyal and Hela seemed quite trustful of her new general. However, Tyr's ulimate loyalty was to Asgard and was willing to aid Loki to bring to light the prophecy that would bring the downfall of the the Serpent. After Tyr return to Hel, Hela seemed to grow fonder of the God of War. More recently, she has suggested that great power and authority would come his way in due time.
