Abilities
Captain Stacy was an excellent policeman who rose to the highest levels

Other Info
Captain George Stacy was one of the most respected former police officers in the NYPD. He and his wife, Helen, had one daughter by the name of Gwen. Even after retirement, Captain Stacy kept up with the happenings at the department. In addition, he had taken an interest in the superhero, Spider-Man. (To learn about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)

Later, John Jameson called Captain Stacy out of retirement to assist in the return of a device called the Nullifier (which could render any electrical or mechanical apparatus inoperative) that Doctor Octopus had stolen. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the different characters.)

Captain George Stacy identified himself as a strong supporter of Spider-Man. He also took an instant liking to Peter Parker (who was known for photographing the wall-crawler on numerous occasions.). He openly encouraged the growing bond between Peter and his daughter, Gwen.

Later, Captain Stacy was put under a hypnotic trance by a "rigged" camera operated by Mary Jane Watson. She had taken photos of Captain Stacy unaware that her actions were aiding the Kingpin. Through this, Captain Stacy was compelled into a backroom where he underwent additional brainwashing by the camera's inventor, Dr. Winkler. Despite Spider-Man's efforts, Captain Stacy returned programmed to follow the Kingpin's orders; therefore, Captain Stacy later stole police records for the Kingpin. But, Peter Parker's automatic camera captured this theft. Then Peter gave the photos to J. Jonah Jameson, hoping that this apparent betrayal of the Stacy family would actually help prove the Captain's innocence. Soon afterward, George and Gwen Stacy were kidnapped by the Kingpin's men and held captive at one of Norman Osborn's labs where Dr. Winkler worked. The Kingpin intended on eliminating both George and Gwen Stacy after they were used to lure Spider-Man into his crushing hands; however, while Spider-Man battled the Kingpin, Norman Osborn arrived and tackled one of Kingpin's henchmen that were holding the Stacys at gunpoint. Though the Kingpin fled, and Dr. Winkler was apparently killed, the Stacy's were rescued. Norman Osborn's testimony to the police cleared Captain Stacy's name. (To learn about the different characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)

Eventually, Captain Stacy started to suspect that Peter Parker and Spider-Man were the same person. Then, after a feverish Peter admitted to being Spider-Man before his friends (including Captain Stacy), Parker asked the Prowler to imitate Spider-Man so Peter and "Spider-Man" could be seen together. However, Captain Stacy was not fooled. Later, Captain Stacy was called into action one night. Captain Stacy watched Spider-Man battle Doctor Octopus on a rooftop high above the city. A crowd had gathered nearby to watch the confrontation. As the two fought fiercely, chunks of concrete began to dislodge from the roof and rain on the spectators below. Spotting a child standing under the falling concrete, Captain Stacy leapt to cover the boy; he paid for his act of heroism with his life. Abandoning his fight, Spider-Man swung down just in time to hear Captain Stacy's final words, "Be good to her, son! Be good to her. She loves you so very much." (To learn about the Prowler, click on his highlighted name above.)

Abilities
Howard Stark was a genius years ahead of his time, adept in atomic physics, robotics, artificial intelligence, computer imagery and biochemistry. He was a ruthless businessman and adept in a fight, either barehanded, with advanced weaponry or using alien technology.

Other Info
Howard Stark was a brilliant scientist and ruthless businessman. He and his father worked on various projects, and eventually founded Stark Industries. Throughout his young adulthood, Stark worked on many different government projects including the "Manhattan Project" and the "Arsenal" robots. (To learn about Stark Industries or the Arsenal robots, click on the highlighted names above.)

Howard married
Maria Collins Carbonell and together they had a son named Anthony "Tony" Stark. Howard constantly pushed Tony and treated him harshly. He would tell Tony that someone must have "iron in their backbone" to be successful. Howard also dealt with a severe case of alcoholism. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about Iron Man.)

Due to his power as a businessman, Howard was offered membership to the exclusive
Hellfire Club, but it seemed that Stark was uninterested in anything other than the parties the club threw. Also, at one point, Howard was targeted by the Red Skull (Johann Schmidt). In addition, it was rumored to Stark had met the Watcher, Uatu. And at least once, Howard prevented Obadiah Stane from taking control of Stark Industries. (To learn about highlighted groups and/or characters above, just click on their names. Note: Beware of the women in revealing outfits on the Hellfire Club's bio page.)

Unfortunately, Howard and his wife Maria died in a car crash (apparently due to faulty brakes arranged by business competitors). Their death inspired their son Tony to take both business and engineering seriously.

Battle Supreme Results

According to the poll, the end result of the Battle Supreme ended in a tie. However, there was a phone call vote that happened before time ran out that was not tallied. And even though it goes against my vote, I still believe it is fair that this person vote (especially since they have voted on every poll so far and technically verbally gave their vote before time had expired). So, even though it goes against my vote...the official "People's Choice of the Strongest Marvel Character" on the Marvel Madness blog that has been highlighted so far is...GALACTUS!

WOW! This proves that every vote counts, right?! Galactus ended up with 7 votes. Silver Surfer came in a very close second place with 6 votes, and Psylocke received no votes!

Thank you for all those Marvel Maniacs that participated in the poll by internet or by phone!

Jigsaw

Real Name
William Russo

Occupation

Criminal

Citizenship
U.S.A.

Place of Birth
Unknown

Known Relatives
Henry Russo (son)

Group Affiliation
Hood's Gang; formerly Maggia, and led a gang of criminals

Education
Unknown

Height
6'2"

Weight
250 lbs.

Eyes
Blue

Hair
Black

Powers
None, but gains superhuman physical attributes whilst donning his titanium-steel exoskeleton armor.

Abilities
Jigsaw has shown advanced combat skills on the same level as Punisher and Daredevil, and is one of the best street-fighters in the world. In addition, he is incredibly skilled in the use of various forms of firearms, bladed weapons, and explosives. Jigsaw's physical attributes of strength, speed, stamina, reflexes, and durability are at an exceptionally high level, that have allowed him to harm and be harmed by superhuman opponents like Spider-Man. His peak-human metabolism protects him from most diseases and allows him to heal from minor injuries in a matter of hours. His lung capacity and resistance to pain are also remarkable.

Other Info
William "Billy" Russo was a professional criminal and assassin for the Maggia and Costa crime families. He received the nickname, "the Beaut," because of his good looks. After the killings that led to the deaths of Frank Castle's family, Russo was hired by Bruno Costa to assassinate another assassin who had failed to kill Frank Castle. In this attack, Russo killed all of his targets but Castle (who narrowly avoided death in an explosion). However, hours later, Castle tracked down Russo and threw him head-first through a glass pane. Russo survived; however, his face was ripped to shreds. Because of the extent of the damage to his face, surgeons had to stitch Russo's face back together like a jigsaw puzzle. In addition, Jigsaw developed a phobia of panes of glass.(Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the Punisher and/or the Maggia. Also, the top left corner of the third picture posted shows the pre-accident Russo look.)

Russo took advantage of his hideous look and took on the alias, "Jigsaw." Soon afterward, Jigsaw attempted to frame the Punisher for murder. However, his plan failed due to Spider-Man and Nightcrawler's intervention. (Spider-Man witnessed one of Jigsaw's murders and one of his victims was an old friend of Nightcrawler's). (To learn about Spider-Man and Nightcrawler, click their highlighted names above.)

Later on, Jigsaw became involved with a demon worshipper named Reverend Samuel Smith aka "the Rev." Based on healing demonstrations, the Rev convinced Jigsaw to work for him as a type of assassin in exchange for Jigsaw's face to be healed. However, when the Rev finally healed Jigsaw's face, Jigsaw was killed by the Punisher.

Soon after, Jigsaw was brought back to life by the Rev and his master, Lucifer (who in actuality was Belasco). Once again, Jigsaw battled the Punisher, and again his face was ruined when the Punisher pushed him face down into a sharp aloe plant. (To learn about Belasco, click on his highlighted name above.)

While he still worked as an assassin for criminal organizations, Jigsaw's pursuit of the Punisher was relentless, as Jigsaw saw Frank Castle's assassination as an unfinished job. At one time, Jigsaw's vendetta took a bizarre turn when the Punisher faked his death (he appeared to have been executed in prison). Furious with rage, Jigsaw briefly became a new Punisher, getting revenge on Castle's apparent killers because Jigsaw figured they had denied him of the kill he believed to be rightfully his. (The fifth picture posted is of Jigsaw dressed up in his Punisher outfit.)

Jigsaw was one of many villains to break out of the Raft (a floating prison for super-villains). While escaping, Jigsaw was seen fighting Luke Cage. Once freed, Jigsaw fought and was defeated by Tigra. This defeat led Jigsaw to form an alliance with the Hood. Together, Jigsaw and the Hood were able to track down Tigra, and the Hood beat her senseless while Jigsaw video-taped the whole thing. Then later, the Hood and his entire gang appeared at Tigra's apartment, demanding to know the location of the New Avengers' secret headquarters. However, Tigra intentionally gave them information that led them into an ambush. (To learn about the place, characters, and/or team highlighted above, just click on their names. Note: Beware of Tigra's revealing outfit on her bio page.)

Later, Jigsaw took part in an attack on the Sanctum Sanctorum, and attempted to murder Jessica Jones; however, his plan was foiled by Spider-Man. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the place and/or character. Note: Beware of the form-fitting outfit on Jessica Jones' bio page.)

For now, despite being a wanted criminal, it appears Jigsaw is safe from harm.

Anthropologist Dr. Bolivar Trask saw mutants as a threat to humanity. Ironically, Bolivar had two children who were born mutants: Larry and Tanya . Larry had powers of precognition and Tanya could travel through time. (To learn about Dr. Trask's children, click on their highlighted names above.)

At one point, when Dr. Trask was publishing anti-mutant articles, he engaged in a public debate with Charles Xavier about human/mutant relations. Xavier argued that mutants were just like humans and not evil. However, Trask was not convinced and ended up revealing his mutant-hunting robots: Sentinels. However, when Trask activated the Sentinels, a few rogue Sentinels actually kidnapped both Xavier and Trask and brought them to Master Mold (the main robot that created the Sentinels). Master Mold had decided that humans and mutants were inferior to robots and coerced Trask to construct Sentinels for him instead. (To learn about the highlighted characters above, just click on their names.)

Eventually, Xavier summoned his X-Men which resulted in a fight between the X-Men and the Sentinels; however, Beast was captured. To reveal the X-Men's secrets, the Sentinels told Dr. Trask to use a device to read Beast's mind. When Trask did so, he discovered that the X-Men were mutants who were actually trying to protect humanity. Realizing that he was wrong about mutants, Dr. Trask decided to help the X-Men in defeating the Sentinels. To do so, Trask sacrificed himself to destroy the entire Sentinel base. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the team and/or character above.)

Later, the Purifiers--under the orders of Bastion--resurrected Trask (using Technarch technology) to be part of a team of the world's foremost mutant killers. Dr. Trask was reported to have the highest record of mutant kills--16,521,618. (To learn about the team and/or character above, just click on their highlighted names).

To learn more a tiny bit more about Bolivar Trask, click on the following link, http://marvel.com/universe/Trask,_Bolivar.

Bolivar Trask makes an appearance in third X-Men movie: X-Men: The Last Stand. In the movie, "Trask" is the head of the Department of Homeland Security and seems to have no connection to Sentinels. In addition, the movies changed the ethnicity of Trask from Caucasian to African American. UPDATE: An actual Bolivar Trask appears in the movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past.
