Other Info

After WWI, Edie married a man by the name of Jakob Eisenhardt. Soon after, Jakob obtained a job working for the German government. Edie and Jakob would eventually have a daughter and a son: Ruth and Max. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn more about Magneto.)

Later on, after her brother-in-law--Erich Eisenhardt--was beaten and forced to wear a sign saying that he had shamed a German woman, Edie told her husband that they should leave Nurnberg, Germany. But, Jakob decided to stay and try to ask a wartime associate to try to give them immunity. However, when the associate turned on Jakob and beat him. Even with all the hard times, the Eishenhardts decided to stay in Germany and try to "figure out the rules" of living in Berlin.

Soon after November 7, 1938, when Herschel Grynszpan assassinated the German attache--Ernst vom Rath--Edie and her family fled to Poland. Then after the Nazi invaded Poland in September of 1941, Edie and her family continued to flew--this time to Warsaw, Poland. However, once they arrived, they were all placed in a concentration camp. (To learn more about the Nazi Party, click on the highlighted name above.)

In the end, while attempting to escape Warsaw, Edie and her family were captured and executed. However, her son Max (aka future Magneto) lived.

  1. Her back-story is not nearly as involved in the comics as it was in the Origins movie... which was crazy and wrong and interesting.
