Battle Royal 2

BATTLE ROYAL 2! Imagine if twelve Marvel characters were to be in a battle to where there could only be one victor. Put the good and evil notion to the side. Everyone vs. everyone. No alliances. Only one can be left standing. Please choose who you think would win among the twelve Marvel characters in the poll. Also, if you have time, please leave the reason why you think the character you chose would win in the "comment" section below. This way, we can all see your reasoning in choosing your winner. Who will be the victor? Only you can decide!

The twelve characters that are involved, are the last twelve characters that have been highlighted on the Marvel Madness blog: Sabretooth, Professor X, Elektra, Sandman, Gambit, Iceman, Abomination, Cyclops, Juggernaut, Daredevil, Lady Deathstrike, and Thing. (If you have forgotten some of these characters' powers/abilities, go ahead and check out their bios right here on the Marvel Madness blog.)

  1. This was a tough decision, but I ultimately have chosen Juggernaut. Elektra, Sandman, and Daredevil would be eliminated too quickly because they are too human or too weak compared to the others. Professor X is strong, but he couldn't take control of everyone's mind at the same time. And because he is pretty much defenseless in his wheelchair, he is pretty vulnerable to anyone else that he doesn't have control over. Cyclops, Gambit, and Iceman could put up a fight, but they would get crushed by Juggernaut, Abomination, or Thing. Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike would battle, and it would be long because they both heal and both have adamantium. But, the big guys would eventually crush them and probably rip them apart to the point where they couldn't recover anymore. So, between the three big boys, Abomination or Juggernaut would take out Thing because he is smaller than either one. So, Juggernaut and Abomination would be the final two and since you can't stop the forward motion of Juggernaut, he would ultimately run over Abomination over and over until the poor beast was crushed and destroyed! Juggernaut is the victor!

  2. I thought it would be Sabretooth because of his healing abilities. But it might also be because he was the last one I read about. :)

  3. You know Wendi, my initial thought was that Sabretooth would be the winner too. But, then later I changed my mind. So, don't worry, I almost voted for Sabretooth as well. :-)

  4. I think Professor X would win. He wouldn't have to control all of them, just whoever was closest to him at the time, and at least one of the really big guys. He could make it work.

  5. I think Professor X would win because it sounds to me like he can create illusions in any number of people's minds, so he could make himself invisible and he could take over one person at a time and have the last one destroy them self.
Its hard to decide how powerful he is looking at the info vs the movies. If he couldn't hide himself I would say Abomination or Juggernaut would win in the end.

  6. Good point Steve. I forgot about the whole making himself invisible in people's minds thing. That would definitely give Professor X more of an advantage than I gave him.

  7. Professor X can induce a temporary paralysis with any number of minds within a short distance. So, all he would have to do is temporarily paralyze everyone, and then control Abomination and have him rip them all in half while they're paralyzed. Then he would control Abomination to either rip off his own head or something like that. Sabretooth is already dead. ;-) Anyway, the whole battle would take maybe 5 minutes and then it would be over.

  8. Well, Karissa...I would just like to point out that "without his helmet and skullcap, the Juggernaut is vulnerable to psionic attacks against his mind." However, because the Juggernaut does have his helmet, I believe he is not vulnerable to psionic attacks from Professor X. Just thought I would throw that out there. Go Juggernaut! :-)

  9. So is Juggernaut protected to All psionic attacks? Like could He see illusions or be mind controlled? If he has his helmet that could change the fight to his favor.

  10. I STILL think Professor X would win. I mean, he could make everyone else see ONLY Juggernaut - and then if they all gang up on him, he probably would go down. Or he could mind-control Abomination to rip off Juggernaut's helmet (Abomination is strong enough for sure) and then Professor X would control or paralyze Juggernaut too. He's a super smart, super powerful mutant - he'd figure something out.

  11. I picked Gambit not for any real reason other then he has always been my favorite since I was a kid. I wanted to give him a shout out since I figured everyone else would pick Prof. X. I know - not true but but it needed to be done.

  12. I know exactly how you feel Rage...Gambit is definitely in my top 5 of the coolest Marvel characters ever. But, I decided that I was going to look at it more like a battle so I went with Juggernaut. However, I'm glad you put in your vote for Gambit (because secretly, I wanted to vote for Gambit too. Shhhh...don't tell anyone). ;-)
