Powers
Nick Fury Jr. was born with the Infinity Formula in his blood, which grants him peak human strength. His body is also more resistant to physical injury. Fury's agility, balance, and coordination are beyond the natural physical limits of athletes. In addition, the formula gave Fury the ability to heal quicker (broken bones, torn muscles, gun shot wounds, etc. in several days). The formula in his blood possibly slows his aging as well.
Abilities
S.H.I.E.L.D. training. Fury is an expert marksman skilled in throwing weapons and using firearms.
Other Info
A U.S. Army Ranger serving in Afghanistan, Marcus Johnson battleed alongside his best friend Phil "Cheese" Coulson. (To learn more about Agent Coulson, click on the highlighted name above.)
Later on, Johnson received word that his mother had died, and he
returned to Atlanta to attend her funeral (also secretly attended by Captain America and Sharon Carter). Following the funeral, Marcus visited his mother's home. As he was looking through the home, Johnson discovered blood and a bullet casing--he realized that his mother's
death had actually been a murder. When he was leaving the house, Marcus came under fire from a sniper,
followed by a coordinated attack by Russian mercenaries. Even though he was able to defeat them all, when the Taskmaster arrived it was too much to handle. However, just before the Taskmaster could kill him, Captain America and a small army arrived, saving his life. (To learn about the characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)
Following this, Johnson was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D.
custody. He continued to question why everyone was after him and why his mother was killed, but Captain America refused to explain. After this, Johnson escaped and went to find out to find answers by himself.
With the help of his friend Coulson, they tried to track down his mother's assassin. During this time, they had to battle Deadpool and the Serpent Society, who were all after Johnson. Eventually, they find Johnson's mother's killer--Orion, who was also after Johnson to use his blood to regain his immortality. (It was during this time that Marcus Johnson found that he was the son of Nick Fury, and he was born with the Infinity Formula in his blood.) It was during these battles that Johnson's left eye was cut out. However, in the end, Johnson defeats Leviathan with the help of the Avengers, Nick Fury, and Phil Coulson. Soon after, both Johnson (now being called by his real name--Nick Fury Jr.) and Coulson joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and as agents. Nick Fury Jr. was given the Super Soldier uniform that Steve Rogers once wore. They reported to Director Daisy Johnson.

highlighted name above. Also, Nick Fury Jr. in the Super Soldier uniform is shown in the first and fifth pictures posted above.)
At one point, Nick Fury Jr. accompanied Agent Coulson to meet with a traveler
from the future who described the origins of several superheroes before
launching an attack on a battalion of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Coulson
managed to disable the traveler. In response to the attack, S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Maria Hill decided
to create S.H.I.E.L.D.'s own "Secret Avengers" team. Both Nick Fury Jr. and Agent Coulson
joined the ranks of the team and were responsible for
recruiting their first members. Some of these first recruits were
former members of the original Secret Avengers, Hawkeye, and Black Widow.

her bio page.)
Due to the sensitive nature of their
missions, every member (except Nick Fury Jr.) received memory implants, making them forget everything they
did
for the period of the operations. Their first operation was to foil a
plan of the terrorist group
Al-Qaeda from using teleportation knowledge given by Andras Bertesy
to execute a terrorist attack to the United States. On their second
mission, the team rescued Taskmaster from Bagalia, in order to use him
to infiltrate in A.I.M.'s new High Council which consisted of Andrew Forson, Graviton, Jude the Entropic Man, Mentallo, Superia, and Black Widow (Yelena Belova). However, during the confusion of a battle between the two groups that happened at a weapons expo, Forson stole an Iron Patriot armor, and the Secret Avengers, with the addition of Hulk now, were given an order to go after Andrew Forson. outfit worn by Black Widow on her bio page.)
There is nothing there, but her is the link to Nick Fury Jr. on Marvel.com, marvel.com/universe/Jr._Fury,_Nick.
The main reason of the creation of the "Nick Fury Jr." character was the ascending popularity of the Cinematic Marvel Universe (movie) version of Nick Fury. It wasn't until 2011 that Nick Fury Jr. entered into the main Marvel universe in the comic books.
So I'm a little confused - is the Nick Fury in the movies actually Nick Fury Jr?
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of after-the-fact (since he appeared in the comics after the movies were created), but it would appear that is what they have now created with his buddy being Agent Coulson.
ReplyDeleteNick Fury jr. as an agent can have a large effect on his fathers ideas.
