As Angel: Angel possessed several superhuman abilities akin to those of the common housefly. She had a pair of veined wings growing from her back that allowed her to fly and which she could vibrate at high speed to create a deafening ultrasonic sound. She possessed a reproductive system that involved laying eggs with a complete gestation period of only five days from conception to birth. Angel was also able to vomit a highly acidic substance that she used to partially digest her food prior to consumption.

As Tempest: When she later became a member of the New Warriors, she gained technologically based fire, ice, and flight powers from the new costume given to her.

Abilities
None

Other Info
When Angel Salvadore was fourteen-years old, she was driven out of her home by her abusive step-father. When Angel was sleeping in the woods that evening, her mutant nature manifested itself in the form of a protective cocoon. When she awoke, Angel emerged from the cocoon shocked to discover she had grown fly-like wings.

Soon after, Angel was found by the U-Men (a group of humans who harvested mutant body parts to graft onto themselves). However, before they could make Angel their next unwilling donor, she was rescued by Wolverine and taken to the Xavier Institute where Angel reluctantly enrolled as a student. (To learn about the above highlighted team, character, and/or place, just click on their names.)

Soon after enrolling as a student, Angel was forced to help the Stepford Cuckoos and Beak oppose an assault by the alien Shi'ar Imperial Guard. After the attack, Angel was placed in the Special Class taught by the mutant healer Xorn. (To learn about the characters, races, and/or teams, click on their highlighted names above.)

Later, during a flight class, Angel accepted a dare to kiss Beak. This caused Beak to fall in love with her. And to her own surprise, Angel began to fall for him as well. During, a school camping trip they snuck away to have an intimate encounter before they were attacked by U-Men. With Xorn's help, the U-Men were defeated. Then when the Special Class returned to the Institute, they were just in time to help in stopping a riot fomented by Quentin Quire. (To learn about Kid
Omega, click on his highlighted name above.)

Soon afterwards, Angel told Beak she was pregnant (Angel had decided to lay her eggs on the ceiling of a shack on the school's grounds). Because Angel did not get along well with Emma Frost, Angel became a suspect when Emma Frost was supposedly murdered. However, she was later cleared of those suspicions when Emma was revived and she named the Stepford Cuckoos sister Esme as her true killer. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about Emma Frost. Note: Beware of the very revealing outfits on Emma Frost's bio page.)

Soon after, Xorn was coerced by an unknown party into believing he Magneto. In addition, the Special Class were convinced by Esme (one of the Stepford Cuckoos), to serve as his Brotherhood until he was defeated by the X-Men. (To learn about the character and/or teams highlighted above, just click on their names.)

After the events of "
M-Day," both Angel and Beak (now married) discovered they and all of their children (except Tito) had lost their mutant powers and their unusual appearances. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about Tito and/or M-Day. Note: Beware of the revealing and form-fitting outfits worn by some on the House of M bio page.)

More recently, Angel and Beak were invited by Night Thrasher to join the newest incarnation of the New Warriors. With no powers, Angel and Beak were given high-tech outfits by Night Thrasher. With her new suit, Angel went by the name "Tempest" because her suit gave her fire, ice, and wind/flight powers. Even after the team disbanded, both her and her husband still fight evil together. (To learn about Night Thrasher and/or the New Warriors, just click on their highlighted names above.)

Occupation

Warrior

Citizenship

Asgard

Place of Birth

Asgard

Known Relatives
Heimdall (brother, deceased)

Group
Affiliation
Asgardians

Education

Warrior

Height

6' 2"

Weight

425 lbs

Eyes

Blue

Hair

Black; formerly Blonde

Powers
Sif possesses the conventional attributes of an Asgardian woman ("goddess"). Like all Asgardians, she is extremely long-lived (although not immortal like the Olympians), superhumanly strong (the average Asgardian female can lift about 25 tons; Sif can lift 30 tons) immune to all diseases, and resistant to conventional injury (Asgardian flesh and bone is about 3 times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to all Asgardians' superhuman strength and weight). Sif's Asgardian metabolism gives her far greater than human endurance during all physical activities.

Abilities

Sif has extensive training in unarmed combat as well as swordsmanship. Her natural fighting ability is only surpassed among Asgardian women by Brunnhilda the Valkyrie.

Other Info

Sif was born a second generation goddess of
Asgard along with her brother Heimdall. As a child, Sif had golden hair and was an occasional playmate of Thor and his half-brother Loki. Once, while she was still an adolescent, Loki decided to play a trick on her in retaliation for her preference of Thor's company over his. As she slept, Loki cut off all of her golden hair. (To learn about Thor, Loki, and/or Asgard, click on their highlighted names above. Note: Beware of the revealing clothes worn by Loki in his "woman-form" on his bio page.)

Guessing that Loki had something to do with Sif's loss of hair, Thor angrily demanded that Loki restore her golden locks. The scared Loki contacted two dwarfish craftsmen (Brokk and Eitri) and asked them to create new hair for Sif. However, Loki was either unable, or unwilling, to pay the dwarfs enough for golden hair; therefore, Loki ended up stealing the newly created hair. However, Loki stole the hair before it was able to be treated with a special potion, and upon placing the hair on Sif's head, it grew darker by the minute before finally turning as black as night. Sif grieved over the loss of her golden hair for a long time until finally her parents grew tired of her vanity and sent Sif away to learn the arts of warfare as a Shield Maiden. (To learn about the dwarfs above, just click on their highlighted names.)

Years later, Sif returned to Asgard accomplished in the ways of the warrior. She had also grown to accept her black hair. Odin, lord of Asgard, had long deemed Sif to be a fitting mate for his son Thor since they were children. However, Sif and Thor had seen little of one another in the millennia since their childhood, and Thor had just recently been involved in a relatively brief relationship with a mortal by the name of Jane Foster. But, Odin was anxious to make Thor forget the mortal Foster, and when Sif and Thor met again, the two began to fall in love with each other. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about Odin and/or Jane Foster.)

Reunited with Thor, Sif accompanied him into battle against many of his most formidable enemies including Ulik, the Circus of Crime, Wrecker, Mangog, and Pluto. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the different characters and/or team.)

Eventually, Sif and Thor made a pledged to marry. However, Thor's feelings of responsibility to Earth and its people often caused a strain between their relationship. Sif tried to adjust to living on Earth; however, Sif preferred the majesty of Asgard and eventually returned to Asgard to live without Thor. Sif and Thor have did not break their betrothal, but their marriage was postponed until they could reconcile their differences.

Later, Sif and Thor came to the aid of Beta Ray Bill (who was the guardian of a large space fleet that carried the surviving members of his alien race--Korbinites--in suspended animation). Eventually, Sif, Beta Ray Bill, and Thor were able to drive off a horde of Surtur's demons that were attacking Beta Ray Bill's fleet. As the war with Surtur raged on, Sif and Beta Ray Bill found themselves attracted to one another. And in a final battle with Surtur, Thor, Loki, and Odin defended Asgard while the warriors of Asgard, led by Sif and Beta Ray Bill, protected Earth from Surtur's demons and the renegade Dark Elves working with Surtur. In the end, Surtur and his forces were defeated on Asgard and Earth. Following the war, Sif and Beta Ray Bill decided to spend some time on Earth together. However, after some time, the two decide to part ways as just friends, and Sif returned to Asgard. (To learn about characters and/or race above, click on their highlighted names above.)

Sometime later, Loki brings about
Ragnarok (the event that marks the end of Asgard). During the first wave of attacks, Sif lost an arm in battle. Then, during the second wave of the war, she avenged the Valkyrie who was slain by Durok the Demolisher, by stabbing Durok with Valkyrie's own sword, the Dragonfang. However, Sif was killed in the third and final wave, which no one survived. (To learn about the event, character, and/or weapon highlighted above, just click on their names.)

After Thor was reborn, he rebuilt Asgard. Sif, however, remained trapped in the body of an old dying woman named Mrs. Chambers. This was due to the manipulations of Loki who was using Sif's body in order to convince the rest of the Asgardians that he had truly been changed. Eventually, Thor found out what really happened to Sif and he sacrificed what was left of his "Odinpower" in order to restore Sif before she died along with Mrs. Chambers. (Click on the highlighted names to learn about Asgardians and/or the "Odinpower.")

More recently, Sif returned with Thor (now in his mortal form--Donald Blake) to Oklahoma after she refused to return to Asgard which had been moved to Latveria due to Loki and Dr. Doom's plans.
Eventually, when Dr. Doom and Loki sent creations to destroy Thor, Sif was the first to sense their presence. Sif immediately deflected a direct assault against Donald Blake before calling the Warriors Three into battle with her. This allowed the Asgardians to ultimately thwart Dr. Doom and Loki's plans. Powers
Havok is a mutant with the superhuman ability to absorb ambient cosmic energy into the cells of his body, transform it in an unknown manner, and release it as waves of energy that heat the air in their path enough to turn it into plasma, which is a super-heated state of matter consisting of charged subatomic particles. These waves will emanate from his body in all directions unless he purposefully tries to channel them in a single direction, usually along the length of his arms. Havok is himself immune to the intense heat he creates, as well as the power blasts generated by his brother Cyclops.

Despite past accounts, the energy that Havok releases is not truly a concussive force. When Havok strikes an object with the waves of intensity of hot plasma, the sudden vast jump in temperature will often cause objects to shatter, explode, or seemingly disintegrate, and an observer might therefore wrongly think that the object had been struck by a concussive force. Should Havok direct his energy at the lowest level, he can project it towards a human being and his target will suffer a severe headache but will not burn up.

Havok's body is constantly in the process of absorbing cosmic radiation. When each of his body's power-storage cell enclaves reaches its capacity, excess cosmic energy is thereafter absorbed and immediately re-emitted in negligible quantities. Upon the total expenditure of all his available energy, it takes Havok's body about 16 hours to recharge to its peak level. The act of concentration involved in releasing his energy in anything other than an omnidirectional wave is physically exhausting for Havok if he continues it over an extended period of time.

Abilities

Havok is an instinctive tactician and strategist.

Other Info
Alexander Summers is the younger of the two sons of Christopher Summers, a United States Air Force Major and test pilot, and his wife Katherine Anne. (There was a third brother named Gabriel--aka future Vulcan--but he was born later during some crazy things that happened). One day, Alex, his brother Scott (aka future Cyclops), his mother, and father were flying back from a vacation in their vintage airplane when they crashed into a scout ship of the intergalactic Shi'ar Empire, setting their wooden plane on fire. The boys' mother pushed her two sons out of the burning plane with the only available parachute, which allowed them to escape capture by the aliens. (To learn of Havok's family members and/or the Shi'ar race, just click on the highlighted names above. Note: Beware of the revealing outfit worn by Emma Frost on Cyclops' bio page.)

The two brothers were hospitalized for injuries they sustained during their landing. Alex left the hospital after just two weeks and was placed in an orphanage in Omaha, Nebraska (it was secretly run by the master geneticist Mister Sinister). Soon afterwards, Alex was adopted by the Blanding family, who had lost their son Todd. However, the family was still traumatized by the loss of their son, and they treated Alex as if he were Todd. (To learn about Mister Sinister, click on his highlighted name above.)

Mister Sinister continued to monitor Alex while he lived with his foster family. When Sinister first noticed Alex's mutant powers beginning to reveal themselves, he provoked the local school bully, Vincent (who had caused Todd's accident), to attack Alex. The stress from the attack caused Alex's mutant powers to manifest and he incinerated Vincent. Sinister then placed a genetic lock upon Alex to curtail the development of his powers.

As a result of what Mister Sinister did to him, Alex did not become aware of his mutant abilities until after graduating college. At one point, a professor of archaeology named Ahmet Abdol had discovered a psychic link between himself and Alex. While both of them had the latent mutant power to absorb and transform cosmic radiation, Abdol's ability to exercise his power was blocked in an unknown manner by Alex. Eventually, Abdol captured Alex and took him to his laboratory in Egypt. At the laboratory, Abdol found a way to screen Alex's body from ambient cosmic radiation, permitting his own body to attain its latent potential. After this, Abdol was transformed into the Living Monolith (a gigantic mutant with vast cosmic power), but the Living Monolith was defeated when his brother, Cyclops, and the X-Men came to the rescue. However, unable to control his powers, Alex fled into the Egyptian desert. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the Living Monolith and/or the X-Men.)

Soon afterwards, Alex was captured by one of the mutant-hunting robotic Sentinels and brought to the headquarters of Larry Trask (son of the Sentinels' inventor Bolivar Trask). Larry gave Alex the codename "Havok" and a costume whose chest display monitored the build-up of cosmic energy within him. Fortunately, the X-Men came to Alex’s rescue; however, he was injured in the ensuing battle with the Sentinels and was taken to Doctor Karl Lykos for treatment. Lykos was himself a mutant who fed off the life energies of other mutants, and when he siphoned energy from Alex he transformed for the first time into the flying reptilian creature named "Sauron." (To learn about the above highlighted characters and/or robots, just click on their names. Note: The third picture posted is of Alex in the costume given to him by Larry Trask.)

Eventually, Sauron was defeated, and Alex returned to New York with his brother and his teammates where he joined the X-Men and began training to control his powers. Eventually, Alex gained enough mastery over his power that he would release it only when he wished to do so and he could wield his power with enough skill to become a formidable opponent in battle.

During his time with the X-Men, Alex fell in love with his teammate Lorna Dane (aka Polaris--a magnetism-manipulating mutant). They both served for a time in the X-Men helping to repel the invasion by the alien Z'nox; however, neither Alex nor Lorna wished to lead a life as an adventurer. The two discovered a mutual interest in geophysics and left the X-Men to begin doctoral research in the Diablo mountain range in Arizona. (Click on the highlighted names to learn about the characters above. Note: Beware of the form-fitting outfits on Polaris' bio page.)

Later, Alex and Polaris's happy life together was interrupted when they found themselves hunted by a team of superhuman assassins known as the Marauders. Polaris was possessed by the psionic entity known as Malice, who forced her to attack the X-Men. Alex, who had now rejoined the X-Men, had no choice but to fight his lover. (To learn about the above character and/or team, just click on their highlighted names. Note: Beware of the form-fitting and revealing outfit worn by a woman on the Marauders' bio page.)

After some time passed, Alex accepted an offer to be the leader of a second version of X-Factor (a government-funded mutant agency). By this time, Polaris was free of Malice's control and was joined the X-Factor as well. Alex and Polaris were finally reunited. Alex continued to serve with X-Factor until the apparent death of his teammate Multiple Man at the hands of the prophetic mutant named Haven. (Click on the highlighted names to learn about the characters and/or group above. Note: The forth and sixth picture posted is of Havok in his X-Factor uniform.)

Disillusioned, Alex teamed up with the Dark Beast (an evil doppelganger of the X-Men's Beast from another timeline), and together they founded a team of mutant terrorists called the Brotherhood of Mutants. However, Alex had not truly become a villain and had only joined the Brotherhood in order to stop the Dark Beast's sinister plans. After he was aided by the time-traveling Xavier Underground Enforcers (XUE) in stopping the Dark Beast, Alex joined them in their quest to stop their apocalyptic future from occurring. Alex was seemingly killed when a time machine created by Greystone (former ally when Havok was in the Brotherhood) exploded. However, Havok had actually ended up being in a comatose state. And later, the X-Men were contacted by Annie Ghazikanian (Alex's attending nurse) and Cyclops came to collect his brother. But, Annie insisted on accompanying Alex as she had come to care for him and sought to continue his rehabilitation. (To learn about the above highlighted characters and/or teams, just click on their names. Note: During his time with the Brotherhood, Havok wore the costume in the first picture posted.)

Eventually, Alex's conscious mind returned to his body with the help of the young telepathic son of Annie Ghazikhanian, Carter. Seizing the moment of happiness, Alex's long-time love Polaris asked him to marry her. Somewhat shocked at such a life-altering question so soon after his return, Alex faltered over a reply, but his assembled friends and family made the decision for him; however, Alex had fallen in love with Annie. Havok went through with it until the wedding day when he called off the wedding as Polaris was walking down the aisle. Because of this, Polaris snapped and attempted to kill both Alex and his newfound love, but she was stopped by Alex's teammate the Juggernaut. (To learn about Carter and/or the Juggernaut, click on their highlighted names above.)

Recently, following the Scarlet Witch's alteration of reality (known as the House of M), many mutants were left powerless, including Polaris. During the same time, Annie decided to leave the school with her son due to the multiple attacks on Xavier's school. After their breakup, Havok began to grow closer to Polaris again. When Polaris decided to leave the X-Men, Havok accompanied her. (To learn about the Scarlet Witch and/or the House of M, click on the highlighted names above. Note: Beware of the revealing and/or form-fitting clothes worn by some on the House of M bio page. Also, beware of the revealing clothes worn on the Scarlet Witch's bio page. In addition, during this time, Havok changed his costume to what is posted in the fifth picture above.)

More recently, Havok was recruited by
Professor X, along with Marvel Girl, Nightcrawler, Warpath, Darwin, and Polaris to participate in a space mission to stop his brother Vulcan from unleashing his powers on the Shi'ar Empire. Alex witnessed Vulcan murder their father (now known as Corsair--instead of dying after the plan crash when Havok and Cyclops were young, Christopher and his wife had actually be teleported aboard the Shi'ar starship they encountered). Afterward, Havok, Polaris, and Marvel Girl stayed in space and joined the Starjammers to lead the resistance against Vulcan and his wife, Deathbird, who had conquered the Shi'ar Empire. (To learn about the above mentioned characters, click on their highlighted names above. Sebastian was born to a poor family in Pittsburgh. Sebastian Shaw's power first manifested shortly after he was accepted to engineering school and his father died. Shaw devoted himself to his studies and created Shaw Industries, becoming a millionaire by age 30 and a billionaire by the age of 40.

Eventually, Shaw fell in love with a woman named Lourdes Chantel, and was soon initiated into the Hellfire Club along with Warren Worthington Jr. and Howard Stark. Soon, Shaw rose to the position of "Black King," and gathered mutant associates to his side, including Emma Frost and Tessa. Unfortunately, Chantel was soon killed by Sentinels in a later battle. When Shaw discovered that Edward Buckman (the "White King" of the Inner Circle) was supporting Stephen Lang's Project: Armageddon and its Sentinels, Shaw decided to execute a coup. Shaw used Frost's telepathy to make Buckman kill his own "White Queen" and then himself. With Buckman out of the picture, Shaw appointed himself Black King, and Emma Frost as White Queen of the Hellfire Club. (To learn about the above characters and/or project, just click on their highlighted names above. Note: Beware of the women in very revealing outfits on the Hellfire Club's bio page and the extremely revealing outfits on Emma Frost's bio page. Also, beware of the revealing outfit on Tessa's bio page.)

Sebastian kept the mutant nature of the Inner Circle secret from the rest of the Hellfire Club. Along with Emma Frost, Shaw used the organization's connections to further his goals of world domination through political and economical means. Shaw had to overcome many attempts to usurp his leadership, including a challenge from renegade colleague Donald Pierce (the White Bishop ) and overt hostility from Selene (the Black Queen). Shaw was also a key part of the corruption of the Phoenix Force into the Dark Phoenix (To learn about the characters, project, and/or team above, just click on their highlighted names. Note: Beware of the very revealing clothing worn by Emma Frost on her bio page and the very form-fitting outfit on worn by Jean Grey on the Phoenix Force's bio page. Also, beware of the revealing outfit in the background of Donald Pierce's bio page.)

Shaw’s Hellfire Club was destroyed when his son, Shinobi, amassed a private fortune of his own and bought out Shaw Industries from under his father's feet. Shinobi phased his hand into his father's chest to induce a coronary. Shaw was then supposedly blown up in his Swiss Mountain retreat by a bomb set off by his son. Taking Shaw's ring as the symbol of his victory, Shinobi announced his triumph and claimed his father's place as Black King of the Inner Circle of the Hellfire Club. However, Sebastian did not die. He spent some time recuperating and building back his resources by allying with his company’s Asian counterparts. Once he built up enough resources, he forcibly took back Shaw Industries. He also began rebuilding the Hellfire Club, using Tessa, Selene, and Holocaust. (To learn about Shaw's son and/or Holocaust, just click on the highlighted names above.)

Later, after Tessa revealed that her years of service were all a cover for Professor X to keep tabs on Shaw and the developing Sentinel technology, Sebastian was determined to have revenge. He tried to frame the X-Men, for a murder of a Australian crime lord. However, the X-Men exposed Sebastian’s plot, with the help of the Red Lotus. (To learn about Professor X, the X-Men, and/or Red Lotus, click on his name above.)

After some time, Sebastian Shaw took on the title of the Hellfire Club’s "Lord Imperial," and he approached Sunspot to offer him a place in the Club's Inner Circle. However, once again, Donald Pierce appeared to challenge Shaw's title. The ensuing battled ended with Pierce decapitated and Shaw severely injured. Shaw decided to step down to allow Sunspot to become the Lord Imperial. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about Sunspot.)

Shaw was one of the few mutants to retain their powers following M-Day. (To learn about this event, just click on the highlighted name above. Note: Beware of the revealing outfits worn by some in the main picture on the M-Day bio page.)

More recently, Emma Frost (now with the X-Men) decided to kill Shaw; however, her plans are exposed when Shadowcat accidentally picks up her thoughts during a psi-conversation between her and Colossus. While disgusted at Frost's intended actions, Shadowcat offers her a compromise. As she currently exists as a ghost, Shadowcat is the perfect tool for making Shaw disappear. Therefore, Fantomex, Shadowcat, and Emma Frost eventually take Sebastian Shaw aboard E.V.A. while they figure out how to dispose of him. After a long questioning by Frost, Fantomex becomes bored and drops the floor from under Shaw cause Shaw to fall to the earth below. Frost goes into a rage at Fantomex (he was unaware that Shaw could absorb kinetic energy, such as that from hitting the ground from such heights). Shaw then proceeds to engage Frost's group, stating that he would rather die than see Emma go on breathing a moment longer. Helped by a maimed Fantomex, the former White Queen tricks Shaw into allowing her into his mind. As opposed to killing him, Frost wipes many of Shaw's memories. From that point on, Shaw's attitude changed, and he seemed to have no recollection of who he was, where he was, or the identities of anyone around him. Emma Frost coldly tells Shaw that he always said he was a "self made man" and now is his chance to prove it. She then leaves with the rest of her expedition, leaving a Shaw kneeling in the mud. (To learn about the above highlighted characters, just click on their names.)

To learn a little more about Sebastian Shaw, click on the following link, http://marvel.com/universe/Shaw,_Sebastian.

Sebastian Shaw's powers in the movie were similar to that in the comics. However, he re-channeled the energy into blasts of energy (more like Bishop) in the movie, than using it to enhance is strength, speed, and stamina in the comics.
