All of the Knight's abilities come from his technology from Obadiah Stane. He wore a protective suit of armor, rode a mechanical anti-gravity steed, and wielded an energy lance which could pierce Iron Man's armor.

On the Knight's fist mission, Stane instructed him to intercept his business rival Tony Stark's plane on the way to New Mexico and assassinate Stark. With his anti-gravity steed and energy spear, the Knight tried taking down Stark's aircraft as it was en route; however, Tony managed to repair the plane using his Iron Man armor and arrived at his destination safely. Later, the Knight made a second attempt to kill Stark at the compound of an Irish terrorist. In fact, in this assassination attempt, the Knight gained the upper hand thanks to his spear easily penetrating Stark’s armor, and came close to killing Stark more than once. However, Iron Man used tricked the Knight into a defensive position, enabling him to take the Knight out with an explosion. The Knight was then arrested and incarcerated.

Soon after the Knight was incarcerated, another one of Stane's Chessmen, the Bishop (Alban Emond), arrived in New Mexico to punish the Knight for his failures. The Bishop broke the Knight out of prison, flew him high into the sky, and then dropped him--letting the Knight fall to his death. Much in unknown about the life of Moloka Dar before he become imprisoned as an inmate in the space-prison known as the Kyln. (To learn about the Kyln, just click on the highlighted name.)

At one point, Moloka allied with his fellow inmates including Ch'ak, Gladiator, and Star-Lord, to oppose the cosmic-powered Maker. They planned to pit Thanos against the Maker, with the hopes that he would defeat her. It was Moloka who passed information onto Thanos. He explained to the Mad Titan that the inmates of Klyn were kept in check by nano-technology which had been implanted into their blood. He also explained that there were those in the Kyln that followed the Maker and those that did not. Afterward, Moloka escorted Thanos to see the Cleric, who showed Thanos to more of the prisoners opposing the Maker. At one point, Moloka questioned Star-Lord and Gladiator for involving Thanos in their plan to defeat the Maker; however, in the end, when Thanos defeated the Maker, Moloka expressed his gratitude to the Mad Titan. More recently, it is believed that Moloka died when the Kyln was destroyed.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Moloka Dar was a fellow inmate at the Kyln along with Drax, Gamora, Star-Lord, Rocket, and Groot. Soon after Gamora arrived, Moloka and Drax both threatened her, but it was Star-Lord who stepped in and calmed them down. Afterward, Moloka's knives were taken by Drax. Much of Jackson "Jack" Norriss life before he married to Barbara Denton is unknown. At one point, the couple foolishly joined a cult devoted to the demonic Undying Ones for fun. Unfortunately, this resulted in Barbara being driven mad by Undying Ones and she became trapped in their dimension. Soon after, Barbara became a host body for the spirit of Valkyrie (Brunnhilde). Jack recognized her and refused to accept that the Valkyrie was not really Barbara, and as a result became a sometimes associate of of the Valkyrie's teammates--the Defenders. Norriss was frequently of considerable help to the Defenders, and even once saved the Valkyrie from being burned on an inverted cross by the Sons of the Serpent. At one point, the Defender's teammate Nighthawk (Kyle Richmond)'s body had been usurped by Chondu the Mystic of the Headmen. Therefore, it was Jack that agreed to have his mind transferred into the body of Nighthawk and fight alongside the Defenders as "Nighthawk" for a time. Over time, Jack eventually lost Barbara. And with that, Norriss decided to leave the Defenders, though only after Nighthawk paid him $300,000. Jack then used the money to fund his own mission to stop Ruby Thursday of the Headmen from running for President of the United States. He contributed a large portion of the money to Ruby's campaign in order to get close to her. He then spent the rest on a fancy tech-filled tuxedo--complete with secret gadgets and weapons. Unfortunately, Ruby Thursday eventually saw through his ruse; however, not before he was able to expose her to the American public--thus, ending her campaign for presidency. Soon after, the Defenders managed to defeat her and the rest of the Headmen. Aftewards, Jack returned to the Defenders for a time. Later on, Jack joined S.H.I.E.L.D. as a file clerk working; however, he was eventually made into a full field agent. He was assigned to bring in the vigilante named Nomad (Jack Monroe). However, dissatisfied over their handling of Nomad, Jack eventually left S.H.I.E.L.D (Click on the highlighted team and/or character above to learn more about them. More recently, Norriss has become an investigative reporter working for Inside America (a news related TV series). In the short, the character first appears as a documentary filmmaker trying to get the true story behind Trevor Slattery's life, while Slattery is imprisoned in Seagate Prison. Originally, Carina had no superhuman abilities or powers, except for an incredibly long lifespan. However, after being imbued with cosmic power by Korvac, she possessed a myriad superhuman powers and abilities. She was highly durable and able withstand physical injury and even death by transforming into a pure energy form while her body heals. She could fire bursts of powerful energy, alter matter on a molecular level, sense alternate universes and possible futures and summon matter from these realities. She could place the consciousness of individuals into other bodies and restore them at will. In addition, Carina could open portals in time and space.

The being who was known as "Carina Walters" on Earth was the daughter of the Collector and Matani. Like her parents, Carina has existed in the universe for eons. (To learn about the Collector, just click on his name above.)

At one point, Carina was sent to Earth by her father to seduce the newly powered Michael Korvac, as a ploy to reveal his true intentions. When Janet van Dyne (Wasp) was holding a fashion show for her new line of clothes, Carina walked down the catwalk. This drew the attention of Korvac. However, over time, her false feelings for Korvac became real and she fell in love with "the enemy," and even eventually married him; thus, switching her loyalty to Korvac instead of her father. Soon after, Carina revealed to Korvac that she did mean to betray him for an instant, and also revealed that she was sent by her father as a spy. She cried as she watched Korvac blast her fathers to ashes, before the Collector could report the intelligence he had obatined about Korvac to the Avengers. Afterward, both Carina and Korvac were presumed to have lost their lives in a later confrontation with the Avengers.

More recently, both Carina and Korvac were both seen in different energy forms. At one point, Hank Pym mistook the dispersed energy of Carina for that of his late wife, Janet van Dyne. Using Jocasta, Pym shaped the energy into Janet's form and broadcasted her brainwaves into Carina. Veil then took it upon herself to bring Wasp back from Underspace where Pym believed her to be. However, instead of bringing the Wasp back like Pym and Veil believed they were doing, they brought Carina back. This drew Korvac to Avengers Academy, who wanted to reclaim him wife and take control of reality. However, Carina refused due to the memories of Janet van Dyne inspiring her to be a hero instead. Therefore, the Avengers and Korvac fought against one another. During the battle, Carina used her considerable power to give the students of Avengers Academy the bodies of their future selves and they were all able to defeat Korvac. After Korvac was defeated, Carina restored all the students back to their younger selves, except Reptil who wanted to retain his enhanced powers and chose to remain as an adult, making it impossible for Carina to switch him back. When Schist was turned into one of the Fathers, he was immune to the effects of aging.

Other Info 
F.A. Schist was the head of a construction company. He secretly believed that the legendary Fountain of Youth existed in the swamps of the Florida Everglades. Therefore, in order to obtain the Fountain of Youth, Schist negotiated to get a contract to build an airport in the Everglades in hopes of draining the swamp. However, the area he choose to build the airport just so happened to be home to a tribe of Native Americans. Some of the younger braves, led by Black Eagle, sabotaged Schist's bulldozer in an effort to prevent the destruction of their home. However, as they fled, Black Eagle was shot and wounded by Jake Simpson--one of Schist's employees. This resulted in a demonstration against Schist and the destruction of the swamplands. Schist responded to this by ordering another bulldozer, obtaining a court order to prevent further demonstrations against his work, and criticizing Simpson for giving his opponents a martyr. 

Afterward, Schist personally supervised the start of operations and went ahead as planned, despite threats by some of the older Native Americans. The work in the swamp drew the attention of another dweller of the swamps--Man-Thing. After some disappointing encounters with the Man-Thing and Schist's employees, Schist decided to take matters into his own hands to get rid of Man-Thing permanently. Therefore, F.A. Schist hired Professor Slaughter to kill the Man-Thing. However, when Slaughter failed in his attack upon Man-Thing, the creature grabbed both men and tossed them into the swamp. Soon after, Schist was confronted by the Foolkiller (Ross Everbest), who told Schist that he had 24 hours to live, before he would killed him for being a "fool" (people he deemed as sinners, dissidents, and criminals). However, when Schist and others attempted to flee the swamp to escape the Foolkiller in their jeep, the Foolkiller ran them down in his truck. Everyone inside the jeep survived, but as they attempted to hitch a ride to the nearest town, they again were caught by the Foolkiller. This time, however, he took Schist with him, preparing to carry out his execution personally. However, it was the Man-Thing who arrived in time to distract the Foolkiller, who was accidentally killed in the ensuing struggle. Even though the Man-Thing had saved his life, F.A. Schist still despised the creature. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about the Foolkiller).

Later on, due to an energy crisis, Schist was forced to terminate his plans to build an airport. However, he continued on his lifelong dream to find the Fountain of Youth. This led Schist to the hidden village of La Hacienda. However, just outside the village, Schist encountered the Man-Thing and again he tried to run the creature over. The Man-Thing (who had turned partially human as a result of the exposure to the waters of the Fountain) leapt out of his way, and Schist dove to safety before his vehicle collided with a tree and exploded. Following the Man-Thing to the village, Schist secretly observed the "Fathers" of La Hacienda trying to return the Man-Thing to his human form. After observing what the Fathers could do, Schist showed himself to them and attempted to make a business deal with the Fathers. However, disgusted by Schist's materialism and greed, the Fathers offered Schist a vial of the legendary waters as "a gesture of good faith," knowing that he would drink it. As a result of drinking the water--rather than bathing in it--Schist was mutated into a horrible purple ogre-like creature (which is what happened previously to the Fathers). Furious at this trickery, Schist attacked one of the villagers. The Man-Thing tried to stop Schist, but he was still in his partially human form and this "new" Schist nearly overpowered him. During the struggle, Schist accidentally shattered a vat of the fluid drained from the Man-Thing, which drenched the swamp creature in it and restored Man-Thing to his full powers. Terrified at what had happened, Schist was unable to escape the powers of the Man-Thing ("Whatever knows Fear, Burns at the Touch of the Man-Thing"), and being in his purple ogre form Schist was more susceptible to the burning power of the Man-Thing, and was incinerated--leaving just a a pile of ashes behind. A man named "Frederic Schist" appears in the TV movie Man-Thing. In the movie, Schist is similar to his comicbook counterpart in that he illegally wants to build in the Man-Thing's swamp. However, in the movie version, Schist built an oil extraction central in the Everglades.

Wolverine Costume Poll Results

Besides her being affiliated with NASA, there isn't much known about Carol Hines before she was recruited into joining the Weapon X Program. When Professor Thornton (aka "Professor") was put in charage of the U.S. branch of the Weapon X Program, Hines was recruited, along with Doctor Cornelius and the manipulative John Sublime.  (To learn about the above highlighted characters, just click on their names.)

It was the Professor who chose Wolverine as his first test subject in the new program. He had Wolverine kidnapped and taken to a Canadian facility. Once there,  Wolverine was put through a brutal process in which the near-indestructible Adamantium metal was bonded to his bones. Carol Hines was the technician responsible for reviewing Wolverine's medical files and monitoring his bio readout during the Adamantium-bonding procedure. In fact, she was directly responsible for not just monitoring Wolverine, but also to regulate the Adamantium flow into his system. In addition, to regulate his body functions, Hines had to pump chemicals into him when needed. The Professor was surprised at the full extent of Wolverine's mutant nature, which enabled him to recover from the process far more rapidly than anticipated. However, due to being reduced to a quasi-mindless state, Wolverine was sent to slaughter the inhabitants of the small town of Roanoke in order to test his capabilities. Ultimately, Wolverine broke free of the Professor’s conditioning and caused havoc in the Weapon X facility. In fact, while escaping the facility, he slew most of the facility’s personnel. However, Carol Hines was one of the few Weapon X Program members that survived Wolverine's attack. (To learn about Wolverine, click on the highlighted name above.)

After the failure of the Weapon X Program, Carol Hines was reassigned with a new government cover job in the United States working for the Department of Agriculture: Pest Control Section.

At one point, Wolverine’s memory of his manipulation by the the Weapon X Program began to return. It was then, that Carol Hines and the Professor ended up luring Wolverine into an abandoned warehouse in Canada (which was once the secret location for the Weapon X Program). This resulted in Wolverine being attacked by the Professor's robotic android named Shiva. Realizing, the complex was not a Pest Control outlet, but a trap for revenge, Wolverine began fighting his way past the robot. After destroying Shiva, Wolverine went after the Professor; however, he found that the Professor had already been killed by Silver Fox--now a high-ranking operative of the terrorist organization HYDRA. With Professor Thornton's death, the Weapon X Program was seemingly abandoned, as the Weapon Plus replaced it. More recently, both of the Professor’s associates, Carol Hines and Dr. Cornelius were killed. Psi-Borg (Aldo Ferro) used his psionic powers and killed Hines, while Maverick slayed Dr. Cornelius. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn more about the characters.)

A woman named "Carol Frost" appears in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie. This woman has the background very similar to Carol Hines from the comics. In the movie, she assists Dr. Cornelius in the Weapon X program that created Wolverine. With the same first name, it is assumed that she is based on the comicbook character Carol Hines.

Wolverine made his first cameo appearance in The Incredible Hulk #180 (Oct.1974)! However, his first major appearance was the following month in The Incredible Hulk #181 (Nov. 1974)! So in celebration, I am doing a Wolverine Costume Poll!

Not much is known about Kara Lynn Palamas before she joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and became known as Agent 33. As S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Palamas works as a researcher and historian who has a special interest in classical mythology. In fact, Agent 33 had studied the career of Greek Olympian Demigod Hercules for a time, and was instrumental in recruiting Hercules to aid Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. against Ares and his Warhawks. Later, during Hercules' final battle with the Warhawks, Agent 33 discovered that S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent DePaul was a traitor and was actually working for Ares. This resulted in both fighting one another and DePaul attemped to kill Agent 33. However, during the scuffle, DePaul fell on a sword he had been using and killed himself instead. Before he died, DePaul apologized for what he had done. 

Currently, Agent 33's activities are unknown, but it is presumed that she is still with S.H.I.E.L.D.

None; however, upon donning the Kraken's helmet, the wearer's body becomes covered in armor of a magic/advanced technology which protects the wearer from physical attacks and psychic intrusion. It also grants superhuman strength and allows the wearer to project energy blasts.

At one point, the time-traveling Leonardo da Vinci gathered several prominent leaders in the intelligence community to create the Zodiac (Great Wheel) in 1961. Along with Daniel Whitehall, some of the others members included Nick Fury, Jacob Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, John Garrett, and Baron von Strucker. Da Vinci's arrangement was simple--in return for cooperating on a few missions for him, he would give all of them the means to win their own secret wars. In addition, to protect their anonymity, each member was given a codename based on the Zodiac. Daniel Whitehall was given the codename "Leo." Each of the Great Wheel's missions involved acquiring strange technology. On one mission, Whitehall was teamed with other Zodiac members (Vasili Dassiev, Shoji Soma, and John Garrett) to salvage the power source from a crashed Brood vessel in Egypt. In fact, it was there that Whitehall revealed his "Kraken" power armor (which he had stolen from the original Kraken) in order to fight off a swarm of Brood drones. However, the team was betrayed by Dassiev and Viktor Uvarov for the acquired technology--their alliance would become the organization known as "Leviathan." They even attempted to kill the rest of the Great Wheel; however, Whitehall used his Kraken armor to protect himself and fled with Baron von Strucker. Along with Baron von Strucker, Daniel Whitehall--now known as the Kraken--was a key figure in creating HYDRA. However, unlike Strucker, Kraken preferred to orchestrate things from behind the scenes, choosing not to make himself widely known. His self-appointed mission was to help people "become what they are meant to be"--which ususually ended in dangerous results. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn more about HYDRA.)

For decades, he was responsible for developing HYDRA's best assets. This involved a lot of human trafficking, theft, and murder. He was even the head of a school that trained nearly a hundred orphaned girls into human weapons. Kraken took the most promising young girl, Ophelia Sarkissian, and molded her into "Madame Hydra." Kraken was also the one that discovered a young Tomi Shishido (aka future Gorgon) in Japan and presented the boy with the Godkiller sword. Later, Kraken was involved in the creation of genetically-engineered mind-controlling parasites. They conducted an experiment with the parasites on one HYDRA recruit that led to the creation of a creature known as the "Hive." Then after creating all this in the name of HYDRA, he found out he was dying. Therefore, Kraken met with his old friend Strucker at his home on Hydra Island one last time and shared the news of his fatal illness. A few years later, Whitehall found himself dying in a hospital bed when Jacob Fury came to visit him one day. Fury had previously been to Whitehall's London home, where he found Whitehall's journals and the Kraken helmet; thus, learning of Whitehall's entire true evil history. With all that, Jacob made it known that he intended to impersonate Whitehall as "Kraken." Therefore, Fury donned the helmet which grew down his body, covering his in the Kraken's armor. Then, Fury helped Whitehall "become the man you are meant to be" by cutting off his life support; thus, killing him.

In the TV series, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a General Reinhardt appears in a flashback of World War II. This same man is referred to as Dr. Whitehall in modern day; however, he appears to be the same age as he was in WWII. How did this happened? How is he still alive? Why the name change?
