After Battle Supreme 2, the official "People's Choice of the Strongest Marvel Character" on the Marvel Madness blog of the past 100 highlighted characters is...the God of Thunder, THOR!
WOW! Thor took Thanos out! Thor came out with 10 votes, while Thanos only got 4 votes.

Other Info
Sometime around the beginning of the Cold War in the 1960, a black ops team was created by the CIA and the people behind the Weapon X program (which was linked to the Weapon Plus Program). This black ops team became known as "Team X." Although little is known about what the team did while they were active, it is known that most of the team had their memories wiped after almost every mission. Team X was considered the best the United States had to offer, and faced off against the KGB on many occasions. (To learn about the programs and/or group highlighted above, just click on their names.)
It appeared that Sabretooth was the highest ranking of the team. He was the one that recruited Wolverine, and appeared to be the only member of the team who knew any details on missions. Wolverine had his memory wiped after every mission. In fact, whenever Wolverine would question orders, Sabretooth would kill innocent people. Maverick (aka Agent Zero) was hired from outside the CIA, and didn't know much about what the team did. Kestrel was the extraction expert. He used his teleportation powers to get the team out of many tight spots. Silver Fox was romantically involved with Wolverine for a time. In the end she betrayed the team due to a strange reaction to her memory implants. Mastodon is not mentioned much, and very little is known about him. Noel Higgins (Wildcat) and Aldo Ferro were almost part of Team X. (To learn about the above highlighted members of Team X, just click on their names.)
Afterward, realizing how important the device was, Wolverine did not want it to fall into the hands of his masters; therefore, he gave it to Maverick to hide. Over the following decades, Omega Red tracked Wolverine and Maverick down many times in an attempt to retrieve the Carbonadium Synthesizer in order to heal his body, and stop its constant decomposition due to radiation.
There is nothing there, but here is the Marvel.com link to the bio of Team X, http://marvel.com/universe/Team_X.
In the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Team X is just slightly different than what is in the comics to fit into the X-Men movie timeline. In the movie, the team is led by Col. William Stryker, and consists of Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Blob, Wraith, Bolt, and Agent Zero.

Powers
Omega Red is a mutant with the ability to secrete bodily pheromones deadly to anyone in his immediate vicinity. This power greatly drains his energy, requiring him to absorb the life force of others. Omega Red was also granted superhuman strength from the KGB enhancement. Omega Red's arms were implanted with long Carbonadium coils that he can extend and retract through openings in the undersides of his wrists. The coils serve as both conduit and stabilizing factor for his mutant pheromones.
Abilities
Omega Red is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant with extensive KGB training, and is fluent in Russian and English.
Other Info
Before he became a serial killer, little is known of the past of Arkady Gregorivich. Eventually, when Arkady was captured, he was turned over to the KGB. The KGB then went about transforming him into the super-soldier code-named "Omega Red." However, the procedure was interrupted by Team X (an elite covert operations unit consisting of mutant operatives Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, and Wraith). Team X stole the Carbonadium Synthesizer (a device that was used to control Omega Red’s mutant power) and as a result the KGB placed Omega Red in suspended animation. (To learn about the above highlighted team and/or their members, just click on their names.)
Decades later, Omega Red was mystically revived by the ninja clan, the Hand. After being revived, Omega Red allied himself with their leader, Matsu’o Tsurayaba, in exchange for the whereabouts of Wolverine and the C-Synthesizer. Soon after, Omega Red clashed with both Maverick and Wolverine; however, he was defeated by Wolverine’s teammates, the X-Men. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the teams and/or character.)
Later on, Omega Red fell under the psionic control of the mutant Soul Skinner who forced him to battle against Wolverine and the X-Men until the telepath’s death. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about the Soul Skinner.)
Over time, Omega Red has clashed with many known superheroes. Omega Red sought to kill the cyborg M.O.D.A.M., whom he believed was a former KGB operative that had betrayed him, but was opposed by Iron Man. Subsequently, Omega Red clashed with the team of mutant trainees Generation X as well as the costumed crime-fighter Daredevil and the Russian super-spy the Black Widow. (Click on the highlighted characters and/or team above to learn more about them. Note: Beware of the very skin-tight outfits on Black Widow's bio page.)
After some time, Omega Red was hired by the Russian crimelord, Ivan Pushkin, to help incite war between the terrorist groups HYDRA and A.I.M., an effort opposed by Maverick. He was subsequently employed as an enforcer for the drug lord The General, only to be recruited by Sabretooth alongside the cyborg Lady Deathstrike to attack the friends of their common enemy Wolverine. However, Omega Red was ultimately betrayed by Sabretooth. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn more abou the different teams and/or characters. Note: Beware of the VERY revealing outfit on Lady Deathstrike's bio page.)
Growing tired of being a lackey, Omega Red became kingpin of New York’s Red Mafia. In this capacity, he provided Maverick (now called Agent Zero) with information on Sabretooth’s whereabouts, thus exacting a measure of revenge on his betrayer. (To learn about the Red Mafia, click on the highlighted name above.)
To learn a tiny bit more about Cecilia Reyes, just click on the following link, http://marvel.com/universe/Omega_Red.
In the film X2, "Omega Red" appears as a folder on William Stryker's computer files. (His name is listed on the very top of the second picture posted above.)

Formerly Beta Flight and Gamma Flight training squads
Inspired by the debut of the superhuman adventurers the Fantastic Four, Guardian (James Hudson) and Department H of the Canadian government decided to create a super-human response team. He drafted several
super-humans into a team he called "the Flight." The Flight's first mission pitted them against Egghead (Elihas Starr) and several of his hired super-human henchmen: Solarr, Porcupine, Rhino, Swordsman (Jacques Duquesne), Power Man.
(Egghead was planning on launching a nuclear missile into New York City
from a location within Ontario.)
The Flight was able to stop him, despite the fact that Wolverine could
barely control himself and that Smart Alec snapped under the pressure.
In fact, in order to save the Flight, Saint Elmo had to sacrifice his
life to
absorb the explosion. Due to the failure of his first effort (having
inexperienced and ill-trained members), Hudson revised his plans and
created a three-tiered system for the Flight: Gamma Flight, Beta Flight, and Alpha Flight.
Gamma Flight would be the initial training program; Beta Flight would
be the next training program; and Alpha Flight would serve as the active
super-human response unit. (To learn about the above highlighted
characters and/or teams, just click on their names above.)
Wolverine was supposed to lead the first Alpha Flight team; however, he left Department H and instead joined the X-Men. So, instead Hudson finished developing an advanced super powered suit and lead the team as "Guardian." The remaining five members of the original team were Aurora, Northstar, Sasquatch (Walter Langkowski), Shaman (Michael Twoyoungmen), and Snowbird. Soon after the team was formed, the entire Alpha Flight program and Department H was disbanded by the Canadian government for financial reasons. (To learn about the team and/or characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)
Later, when Canada was invaded by the Great Beast, Tundra, and the six members banded together with Beta Flight members Puck and Marrina to defeat the Beast. The eight elected to continue acting as a team, although the majority of the members infrequently undertook the same mission as the various members lived in different parts of Canada.
At one point, Guardian seemingly died in the course of Alpha Flight's first major battle with a group called Omega Flight. Alpha Flight continued as a team with Heather acting in her husband's place as leader. In time, Heather adopted her own costumed identity. From then on, membership fluctuated occasionally. Other members would be inducted to the team as it continued, such as Talisman, Box, and Madison Jeffries, while others would leave for various personal reasons, such as Northstar and Snowbird.
The Canadian government later resumed its funding of Alpha Flight, establishing for the team a headquarters on Tamarind Island off British Columbia. After some time, the team found themselves hopping from planet to planet and even dimension to dimension. During their absences, the government created a new Gamma Flight to replace the team. When the Alpha Flight returned from their absence, they clashed with the Gamma Flight. In addition, the Alpha Flight was forced to stand trial. Ultimately, Alpha Flight rejected the government's support and decided to operate independently once more, while Gamma Flight continued as the government-sponsored team. However, the two teams eventually joined forces against Llan the Sorcerer. During the battle, the Gamma Flight was nearly destroyed, but Llan was defeated. Afterward, Alpha Flight was again reinstated as Canada's official superhero group, with members of Gamma and Alpha Flights being reshuffled around into various positions of the Beta and Alpha Flight. (To learn about Llan the Sorcerer, just click on her highlighted name above.)
Later on, the Alpha Flight went up against the Horsemen of Apocalypse. After the battle, the team and Department H were dissolved, and the various members when their separate ways.
At one point, Wolverine helped in reforming the Alpha Flight team against the weapon-making terrorists of Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), during which the team regained a former member in Snowbird. Alpha Flight returned the favor by helping Wolverine defeat the cannibalistic sorcerer Mauvais. In addition, Wolverine briefly served as mentor to a new member, Earthmover, who was being groomed to replace Shaman on the team. (To learn about the team and/or characters above, just click on their highlighted names.)
Alpha Flight’s next challenge was of a very personal nature when Hudson was attacked and seemingly killed by an insane scientist, Jiroult, who sought Heather’s affections for his own. Hudson survived thanks to the mutant healing abilities of the X-Men’s Archangel. Afterward Heather gave birth to a baby girl. (To learn about the highlighted characters above, just click on their names.)
The team was later charged with retrieving Canadian citizen Sammy Paré from the X-Men's home at the Xavier Institute, as the Attorney General's office, the Governor of Connecticut, and the Canadian government had deemed the school unsafe for children to inhabit. This led to a clash with the X-Men, which was quickly halted after Sammy agreed to return back to Canada with Alpha Flight. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn about the character and/or place.)
Alpha Flight sought to impede the progress of the supremely empowered Michael Pointer but was decimated by his multitude of powers. Apparently Sasquatch was the only one to survive and has since then helped create a new Omega Flight. (To learn about the character and/or team, just click on their names above.)
When the Chaos King (Amatsu-Mikaboshi) began his Chaos War, he plunged the living into eternal sleep and destroyed the underworld, freeing the dead including members of Alpha Flight. The team fought against the Great Beasts who were helping to further Mikaboshi's goals, and at the end of the war Alpha Flight was permanently restored to life. Their first official act after being resurrected was to stop the anti-government fanatic Citadel along with Purple Woman, who stole a server that would allegedly expose the corrupt Unity Party led by Gary Cody in order to disrupt the Canadian election; they were defeated before the information was revealed. Later, Alpha Flight repelled an Asgardian hammer-wielding Attuma during the Serpent (Cul)'s assault on Earth and provided rescue efforts for his victims. (To learn about the highlighted characters, event, and/or race, just click on their names above.)
Some time later, the Master of the World, the force behind the Unity Party, ensured Alpha Flight was made public enemies and captured after Cody was elected to power. Vindicator and Northstar's boyfriend, Kyle, were subjected to the "Unity Process," a mysterious procedure that made them betray their former allies. Vindicator also killed her daughter's adoptive parents and reclaimed custody of her baby Claire. While Alpha Flight was held captive, Puck returned from Hell and liberated his former teammates. Alpha Flight discovered Unity was enslaving Canadian citizens whom Alpha Flight saved along with Kyle, bringing them to the isolated Yukon Territory to stage an uprising; Taskmaster was hired with stolen treasury money to train the citizens into a makeshift army. Wolverine decided to investigate the claims of Alpha Flight's traitorous actions but allied with them against Unity. The Master sent his new team Alpha Strike to destroy Alpha Flight, and Purple Woman was captured during the battle and used as a component to reverse the Unity Process. His plans quickly falling apart, the Master came out of hiding and confronted Alpha Flight directly with Claire in his possession, intending to raise her as his heir. Meanwhile, Alpha Strike was defeated and Vindicator and Kyle were cured. Guardian assaulted the Master's UFO, and together with Vindicator, they defeated the Master and saved their daughter. The Canadian government reinstated Alpha Flight as the country's protectors, but Vindicator left to raise Claire on her own. (Click on the highlighted names above to learn more about the characters and/or team.)
More recently, when the Mayan Gods returned to Earth, Alpha Flight assisted Red Hulk into fighting them. During one of the battles with the Mayan Gods, Aurora, Snowbird, and Sasquatch were knocked into a coma. (To learn about the race and/or character above, just click on the highlighted names above.)

When Guardian (James Hudson) and Department H of the Canadian government decided to create a super-human response team, he drafted several super-humans into a team he called "the Flight." The Flight's first mission pitted them against Egghead (Elihas Starr) and several of his hired super-human henchmen: Solarr, Porcupine, Rhino, Swordsman (Jacques Duquesne), Power Man. Gamma Flight would be the initial training program; Beta Flight would be the next training program; and Alpha Flight would serve as the active super-human response unit. (To learn about the above highlighted characters and/or teams, just click on their names above.)
The first Beta Flight consisted of Box (Roger Bochs), Marrina, Puck, and Flashback. This team lasted until the entire Alpha Flight program and Department H was disbanded by the Canadian government for financial reasons. (To learn more about the original Beta Flight members, just click on their highlighted names above. Also, the team is shown in the first, third, and sixth pictures posted.)
After the return of the Alpha Flight, Vindicator (Heather Hudson) unofficially created a new Beta Flight team with several young super-humans recruits from the Alpha Flight team: Purple Girl, Manikin, and twins Pathway and Goblyn. The Alpha Flight helped and trained the younger team. Soon, both teams found themselves on a series of adventures, hopping from planet to planet and even from dimension to dimension. (To learn about Heather Hudson and/or the second Beta Flight members, just click on their highlighted names above. Also, most of this version of the team is shown in the fourth picture posted.)
Later, when both Alpha and Beta Flights finally returned to their reality, they returned to Canada. However, during the teams' disappearance, the Canadian government created a new Gamma Flight to replace Alpha Flight. Soon after this, all three teams clashed, and Alpha Flight was forced to go on trial. Ultimately, Alpha Flight rejected the government's support and decided to operate independently once more, and the unofficial Beta Flight continued to remain alongside them.
Later on, all three teams had to join forces against Llan the Sorcerer. During the battle, Gamma Flight was nearly destroyed; however, Llan was defeated. Afterward, Alpha Flight was again reinstated as Canada's official superhero group, with members of Gamma and Alpha Flights reshuffling into various levels of Beta and Alpha Flight. Now, Beta Flight consisted of Goblyn, Pathway, Purple Girl, Feedback, Talisman, and Witchfire, with Alpha Flight's associate Windshear acting as mentor. (To learn about Llan and/or the third installment of the Beta Flight members, just click on the highlighted names above. Also, this third version of the team is shown in the fifth picture posted above.)
Unfortunately, after a climactic battle with the Horsemen of Apocalypse, both Alpha and Beta Flights, in addition to Department H, were dissolved--all members went their separate ways. (Click on the highlighted name above to learn about the team.)
After some time, Department H was reinstated and a new Alpha Flight was formed. When investigating the new complex, Heather Hudson stumbled across a laboratory labeled Beta Flight with restricted access. It was later discovered that three young super-humans were kept in there as part of a covert, government operation. The three were Lilli, Ouija, and Flinch, and were presumably experimented upon. The three were invited to stay and join the Beta Flight. Lilli was even given a costumed identity of "Ghost Girl." (To learn about the three characters highlighted above, just click on their names.)
At some point, the teams were reshuffled once again and former Alpha Flight members (Radius, Flex, and Murmur) joined Ghost Girl as the new Beta Flight. Other Info
(Egghead was planning on launching a nuclear missile into New York City from a location within Ontario.) The Flight was able to stop him, despite the fact that Wolverine could barely control himself and that Smart Alec snapped under the pressure. In fact, in order to save the Flight, Saint Elmo had to sacrifice his life to absorb the explosion. Due to the failure of his first effort (having inexperienced and ill-trained members), Hudson revised his plans and created a three-tiered system for the Flight: Gamma Flight, Beta Flight, and Alpha Flight.
(The three were deemed to need of additional training). And Guardian's clone, once believed to be the true Guardian, was instated as Beta Flight’s mentor.(Click on the highlighted names above to learn more about the characters.)
