But, ...They definitely messed that up in the movie. But, they kind of just did their own thing. They didn't worry about the actual X-Men: First Class storyline.<br /><br />As for his powers, he definitely did not absorb energy. However, the only thing I can remember from the movie about his powers is that the room Havok was training in started on fire because of his blasts. Also, the manikin that he practiced on caught on fire; however, it did not fall over. Therefore, I don't believe they went with the concussive force in the movie.
